Chris Sensei, it must be reassuring to carry a portable bidet with you when traveling ! Quite a few people can't stop using bidet toilets once they use them. No need to scrub your bottom with paper. If you don't have one, maybe you could use flushable baby wipes instead. 😊

I will have one whenever I travel overseas from now on! It is so much better than just using paper!

The third little pig was working on building a brick house. Luckily, he got it finished before the wolf attacked him. He used his wits to outsmart the wolf, and finally fought it off. Hard work always pays off. Chris Sensei, I feel relaxed when I listen to your reading. It would be nice to live each day to the fullest and be true to yourself. 😊

Konnichiwa. I always enjoy your classes. "In” when you ride by bending down, relatively small vehicles, such as cabs or small helicopters, and ”on" when you ride by moving to the floor, larger vehicles that you can stand up and walk inside, such as buses or trains. Is this correct ? Learning the core meaning of prepositions may help you develop a sense of English, right ?😃 Thank you, Chris sensei.

Thank you for the fun class. It was easy to understand how to count numbers in English by using the comma as a guide. It might be a good idea to use translator apps to get used to it.🤔 In Japanese, the unit of counting changes every 4 digits, so Chris senei, you must've been confused at first when you came to Japan.

Chris sensei is talking about international manner and I appreciate it. This is beyond the English language. I love your sophisticated social intelligence in your subjects.

thank you! I hope people just think about things more carefully and decide for themselves how they want to interact with others.

What a meaningful topic. I have a lot to share about it... not here though. Even many Americans prefer to identify themselves by their states rather than American. On the other hand, I'm asked if I'm a Chinese in US and other countries, time to time. Population wise, finding a Chinese is greater possibility than Japanese statistically. When I visited Dallas TX, many wester looking people just said "Xie xie" and "Ni hao" to me when the person walked by me or at restaurants almost every day. It was hard to guess their true intentions until we start a real conversation. I totally agree. I prefer to be asked "where are you from?"

In general I don't think it is a terrible problem but to maximize potential positive interactions it's just better not to assume things like that.

This is so useful and a comprehensive situation! These sentences can be used for similar situations like making a reservation at a restaurant and an appointment at a clinic. I love preparing my self for speaking the language (even limited a few words) in the country I visit and communicate with local staffs at the hotel only if they are not very busy, because mostly they are kind😊, but I only speak English carefully at immigrations 😐 in every country I go, for sure.

Good morning. Thank you for teaching me today, too. I think your checkout time was 1 o'clock, but the hotel employee said to you that you can checkout by 1:30. Is it correct?
