Im pretty sure that ancient armies did not run that far to engage. They would have been too spent to fight effectively for very long.

Wait did i hear that right? 30k dead for Roman's? Maybe 7k for Carthage? And Carthage lost?

Yes, it was 7,000 Carthagenians and 30 ,000 Romans died. This was not solely at their battle, but during their accampment outisde the city by the romans which led to severe starvation, diseases and ambushes during their exploit of the Agrigentum harvesting camps

Hello everybody! This is the battle of Thermae of 259 BC. As you know i only found little amount of informations about this battle. The depiction of the battle is just interpretation, it's only stated that the Carthagenians attacked the roman with a massive army, but doesn't specify how the battle happened. I would like to remember that in Rome 2 there is no Corvus mod. So i would kindly ask you to think that when romans are boarding the Carthagenians it was because they were using the Corvuses. Thank you for watching!

Though it was entertaining, they were some serious mistakes. Thermopylae was a narrow passage between the sea cliffs and steep mountain side. You made it look like Kansas. Plus, you present armor and gear which would appear much later, like frygian helmets and thyreates peltasts.

Hi! Thank you very much with these new informations. I apologize for not informing about their costumes very well. About Thermopylae, i am well aware about it, i stated that the map here is in fact not Thermopylae. At rome 2 there is no map, not that i know. I saw some videos only which they used Attila total war and honestly i still don't have the game. With the armor, i think you are referring to the athenians and thebians and phoecians depicted here. I completely agree that they wear the armours used by the greek years after thermopylae. When i will continue the Greco-Persian War i will make some tweaks about their costumes too. Thank you very much, i hope you enjoyed the video. Correct me if i'm wrong, i think the spartans here instead wear the Corenthian armor right?

@@LambdaPsi Spartans favoured the thorax which was made by bronze and it was shaped like a muscular torso. Most of the Greek hoplites of the era favoured the linen version which was lighter. In general the Spartan armor of the video is the most accurate.
