Battle of Thermae 259 BC | First Punic War | Rome Vs Carthage | Rome 2 Total War Cinematic

Hello everybody! Happy easter monday. Today we are diving in the history of the first punic war. The battle of today is the battle of Thermae in 259 BC. We know little things about this fight between Hamilcar and the roman consul Gaius Aquillius Florus. The prelude of the battle was with a disagreement between the consuls Lucius Cornelius Scipio and Gaius Aquillius Florus. This might be becuase both sought glory during their time of services of being consuls. 6000 legionaries went with Florus and the other 14000 legionaries went with Scipio, who went to Aleria and Corsica to capture them from the Carthagenian hands. Hamilcar was another commander of the first punic war. Knowing about the news that the romans were near Panormus, specifically near Thermae, he prepared to attack them with his 50,000 troops. At the battle a bloodshed occured and it was an unfortunate day for Rome. By winning this battle, Hamilcar marched to Enna and Camarina and later captured. This battle was one of those which forced Rome to take it's wrath to Carthage.

The depiction of the battle is just interpretation, it's only stated that the Carthagenians attacked the roman with a massive army, but doesn't specify how the battle happened. THank you for watching!
