Interesting interview as always. Love when the audio is top notch and enjoyable as well. Will Janis’s 2nd book be on Audible as well? I don’t have time to read books and I’m overseas. I listen to books on my commute and while shopping.

Another great one guys! I got into a lot of trouble for not properly standing up when Miscavige entered a room I was in once as well, though he told us not to stand up when he first entered the room and we all stood up, which was confusing.I guess he wanted us to stand up when he approached us individually. Completely changed my life that day. Tough luck I guess!

Baffling to me how people with intelligence can be sucked into something so transparently stupid. To call Scientology bs is an insult to bs. These folks, sadly, must have a massive yawning emptiness inside themselves to need Scientology. It’s rather pathetic.

Pretty good interview. I want to add, to the rollback portion of the interview that the Rollback missions were not unwarranted. LRH did say, in the Rollback issue, that "All hell was breaking loose" in Scientology and was due to outside influences. I was a cramming officer in AOLA (where OTs were made) and got drafted into the first RB Mission (outside of the International HQ). My job was a sec checker and to do Rollbacks. My first "customer" was was a fellow named Paul, who was in charge of all of the legal cases in Scientology in the USA in the US Guardians Office. We had around 60 legal cases against us at the time and we were losing them all. it was obvious that this was an operation to bankrupt the Church. I took Paul in and he admitted that his father, who was an attorney in Los Angeles, was working with the FBI to get Paul to cause these cases to go south. It was all funded and coordinated by Paulette Cooper who was Scientology's first self-acclaimed enemy. Paul also told me that he was never a Scientologist and that he was a "Jesus Freak" recruited by his dad to be in charge of Scientology's legal cases. I also found, in LA, Jimmy Mulligan who was the "Comptroller" of Scientology, who said he was "run by the FBI" to inform the FBI off all matters in Scientology. He blew, but left me a letter saying so (right before I was going to sec check him. I was then sent to England - to Rollback the Guardians Office WW, I found a guy who was also run by the FBI (I know, it's England, but he was American, and was planted there by the FBI and to be in charge there - hence the FBI in the UK.). He was an actual operative. And there were several more finds in the GO WW. After the Rollback missions to the Guardians office, things got out of hand with Rollback. People were using Rollback to find out who was after them and silly stuff like you guys talked about. This was not per LRH. LRH wanted to know if we were infiltrated by the FBI and CIA. I, personally found FBI agents in the Guardians Office, but never CIA. But while in UK, INTERPOL did threaten me face-to-face to "back off".

Hubbard directed the original acting on the e-meter reads film, but I don't think he worked on the filming of the actual reads. The film crew tried different techniques to get them on film, and David Mayo was the authority on which filmed read was the perfect depiction of any specific read. There used to be a meter in qual, where your auditor could take you and set you up on the cans if he thought you might be showing a distinct read, and a camera was there to film the meter.

Blake Huffam escaped?
@janisgrady
@janisgrady Сағат бұрын
Yes, Blake left in the early 90s. He worked in LA for several years as a limo driver but once he turned 65 he couldn't get insurance and also had a hard time finding work, so my sister took him in and he became her ranchhand caring for her horses and the horses she boarded (he and and the horses had a great connection - they loved him). He was with us in Vegas for about 15 years until he got really sick with a cancerous leg. Terri paid for him to return to New Zealand where his sister offered to care for him and did so until he passed away around 2010.

The people from Gold have a misunderstood on 'Gaffer'. They think it means the people who do lights. Actually, on a movie set, the people who do lights are 'electricians'. The gaffer is in charge of the electricians. There's only one gaffer on a movie.

Thanks for the extra information on Dr Denk. Is very intriguing to me because there are a number of contradictions between the medical field and Scientology. I have some follow up questions. Did Dr Denk ever give and interviews and if so, where can one find them? Was any of Dr Denk’s family in scientology? Did he leave the church?

SMP is just a way to spend parishioners' money. Scientology can't give any details or sum anything up in 30 seconds or less, or they'd be "corrupting" the tech or "giving it away" or they would reveal "upper-level" material. LRH sounded like he swallowed a dictionary -- I guess he thought it made him sound smart. Scientology really works best inside a locked compound, where isolation and trance-like states control the gullible.

Thanks so much for sharing all of this! Some of what you say highlights the moral dilemmas the people who leave these cults have to deal with - e.g. to have participated in these abusive practices and by doing so possibly have harmed people's lives in turn. All the more amazing that you are speaking out now to expose it... Thank you so much and all the best to you!!

Wonderful interview. Slowly catching up. One thing that struck me was how the tech ( needle floating) was used in place of gut feelings. OR, was gut feelings used? I could be wrong? Q: What is a correction read?// Its impressive hoe far youve all come since leaving cos. I cant imagine having to start over as y'all did. Impressive.// I can absolutely see how the intro courses helped people. Also, I can see how auditing can feel very helpful- youve a person focused on YOU, your issues, problems. Now, the flip side as I understand it is ALL your problems via cos are you pulling them in. Yet, you cant react to them, thus shutting down even further.// It seems what cos is trying to do is make life orderly and no reaction - master your reaction to zero. BUT, life IS messy. Emotions are messy. Thats just part of being human. And its okay to be human.// Lastly, the more I learn the more I can understand what the allure was that pulled people into cos. Sadly, the end result seems to be people who are controlled not controlling life. Very intetesting. Thanks all!

My mother was one of the better auditors from 1967-1995, I was a decent auditor from 1977-1998. Bruce knew both of us. When the Golden Age of Tech came out, it literally killed my mother (breast cancer) and ended my days. In hindsight I can now say I’m glad DM did this because it got me the hell out. Unfortunately my mom was in deeper than I and passed in 2001.
