Thanks so much for sharing all of this! Some of what you say highlights the moral dilemmas the people who leave these cults have to deal with - e.g. to have participated in these abusive practices and by doing so possibly have harmed people's lives in turn. All the more amazing that you are speaking out now to expose it... Thank you so much and all the best to you!!

Such heartbreak. I'm so very sorry. You make such a great point, Mark - we're just a vehicle in the mind of scientology. Imagine cancelling family time in the 'real world' or dropping your child off in a room with a stranger - I'd think that would be a crime. Horrible. Mike's book really got me to understand the parent/child separation. Scientology doesn't care for families. Sadly, when you realize the harm, it can be far too late to reconnect. I do hope for more reconnections! Keep the hope alive!

Just amazing, so glad that Bruce's brother wasn't a Scientologist, and that both Tim and Bruce had regular non Scientologist family to turn to. 1:00:20 Amazing truthfulness moment, Janis tells 1:06:45

Pausing at 32: 44 I cant begin to find the words to tell each of you how dearly sorry I am for lack of medical care. It sounds like L.R. was very responsible on the ship with medical treatment. When did that change? In my own way I get it, your choices back then. I grew up in a family that was against phychiatrist with a passion. It took me 30 yeara to get treatment for depression. Up until that point I viewed any mental health treatment as not just evil but a weakness in me. Thankfully, we all grew. Love this show. Love yous!

It's amazing what passionate beliefs can do, for better or worse. Perhaps auditing does help in some cases but not to the exclusion of medical treatment. I knew someone for years on Solo NOTS trying to handle the "somatic" that in reality was colon cancer and eventually killed this beautiful woman at 51. 1:04:35 Just another example of totalitarian management. It happens when you put power into the hands of mediocre minds such as the LA City bureaucrats.

COMMENT Bruce the daycare by CCI was called the ATA . The school by George’s General store with the blue tarp was called the CEO and then there was what I was in the Pac Cadet Org. We also got very little school. And we did a lot of Renos at the pac ranch to get it ready for all the kids to move there we also did filing for bridge publications. We also marched a lot pretty much everywhere we went. The lack of schooling has made it difficult for me also. I’m glad your son is doing well.

Janis I’m very sorry for the loss of your mother ❤
@russteek912 күн бұрын
Janis!! Not that this matters, but your mother and my father died within a few days of each other, and you said your mom was born in '27. My father was born on June 23 of '27. Fifty years old is so young, and my father was a complete shock. One thing I'd wish for with my parents is to ask them about their younger days, how they met, what did they do in WW2, how did they get started. Were either of your parents in the war? I met your mother briefly in maybe 75 or 76, in Albuquerque. I was acquainted with you guys then, and I knew your mom had passed, but I didn't ever think about it as your mom, but more as a big deal in the world of scn. Nice picture of your sister! I hope she does an interview with you, even if it's not the most dramatic parts of her story. She could talk about her horses. What is your mothers birthday?

Thanks. Yes, 50 years old is sooooo young! My mother was born Oct 20, 1927. Sadly, I only saw her about 3-4 times during the years of 1969 to 1973 and didn't see my father at all during from 1968 to 1973 when I took my first leave. Then maybe I saw a couple times a year from 1974 to 1977 - she died in 1978 when I was 21 years old. Being a teenager during the times I did spend with her, I had little to no interest in the past and family so it was only after we managed to get my father out of Scientology in 2013 was I able to get answers and hear stories about my parents youth. As for WW II - my parents were in their mid to late teens. Per newspaper clippings I have found on line, Yvonne's grandmother was very social and took her to various events including a tour of a couple US Navy ships (I have a US Flag from WW II which Yvonne got signed by the various sailors from the ship she toured). Yvonne's mother was heavily involved in the Red Cross which she received various awards for her work. My father joined the army and was in the motorpool as a truck driver at 19 and later in the reserve when he married my mother in 1952. Having spent the later years of my father's life with him, we also learned that my parents met at a Tennis social event which my mother was hosting - they were introduced by a fellow accountant (my dad was an accountant at the time) who was the brother of my mother's best friend. In 1979 while on a 3 week leave to Australia, my brother and I were able to visit with Yvonne's best friend from her teenage years. I also managed to get some stories from my mother's cousin who worked on the family tree with me. I'm glad I was able to fill the gap on many questions but as I know, there is always more questions that remain unanswered by those that crossed to the other side.

I did the sweat program in a rubber suit in 1978. I'd run 7 miles in it. Then I did the purif in 1980 and again in 1986.

I’m so sorry about your sister, Bruce. I knew something like 5 people (including Yvonne) to have brain cancer and got no treatment. One of my staff at Flag “Eval & Execution Unit” had lung cancer, I believe it was, and instead of going to get medical help, she went to Mexico for some alternative drug-I believe it was laetrile.

Good to hear other's experiences. Also, there was in fact an HCOB about how to use antibiotics to reduce a fever. I don't know the exact date, but around 1984 or so.

Thanks for the extra information on Dr Denk. Is very intriguing to me because there are a number of contradictions between the medical field and Scientology. I have some follow up questions. Did Dr Denk ever give and interviews and if so, where can one find them? Was any of Dr Denk’s family in scientology? Did he leave the church?

Its such a strange thing - cos making people learn meaning of words so they sound well schooled but they arent. I wonder how many kids who grew up in cos struggled in the regular non cos world. Have you heard any stories on this? Thanks
@TheVirgilSamms12 күн бұрын
I'm so sorry. I like your videos for the most part, but I think this video is one of the most inaccurate you've made. LRH did say in the HCOB Physically Ill PCs and Pre-OTs to be sent to the doctor if the PC is physically ill. A good, standard C/S will abide by this standard policy. This is pretty much the reason the Shaw Health Center became a success and expanded. We sent our PreOTs there for treatment. It was a success for the most part. This video is how cancer victims were "mistreated by Scientology" and not given proper medical treatment. Not true, except in a few cases Like Lisa McPherson. That was totally taken over by DM and he would let no one else control it. So, most of the Scientologists and Sea Org members that I knew that had cancer were sent to the hospital for treatment. I know that the following Scientologists and Sea Org members were treated by Oncologists and had the cancer treatments in hospitals with radiation and chemo and didn't make it (please excuse my misspelling of names): David Rousseu, Pat Gualteiri, Allan Hubbard, Dr. Gene Denke, Marilyn Brewer, Yens Bogvad, Annie Broeker, Eric Knauerhouse, Steve Boyd. All were treated by cancel specialists. I had heard that Kelly Preston was declared an illegal PC because she had cancer and was not allowed auditing, which really is a shame. There are a lot more I am not recalling at this moment. Kirsti Alley died fast of colon cancer and was stage 4 when they found it. Too late for anything, but had the Church been taking care of her, she might be alive now. What you're missing is the earlier beginning. The REASON they all got cancer. And Scientology, especially the Sea Org, has one of the highest rates of cancer of most groups. And that was due to the toxic environment that the Sea Org became and it was the absolute worst at Int. I finally got out of there when DM approached me to be his "strong-arm man". That's how bad it got. The violence had already begun. But that's another story. This may not fit the narrative, but I have had two Scientologists getting auditing from me who went through Radiation and Chemo treatment, then got auditing by me and one was declared clear of all cancer 4 years ago and the latest one declared clear of cancer yesterday (two years after treatment). And I worked closely with their doctors. But, you see, my secret is that I could audit out radiation treatment and chemo treatment. Somatics are a snap to handle. Auditing works ONLY in a sane environment. It would never work in the "DM Sea Org" because of all the hate and evil he has turned it into. And this is why field auditors at this moment are getting rave results.
