They probably get some drummer like Greg Bissonette. I used to listed to Bissonette outside his practice room. He just keeps working his left hand like an anvil. We got to use both hands and those hand must be equal. Equal for all the PEEPs. We are EQUal. LH RH same same

Interesting arrangement. Very frantic. I like the original better.

I could only hear that weird snare sound the whole time. Sounded a lot like hitting a cardboard box.

Tempo is all over the place. Shambolic. Saw Focus in concert recently, i have to say, they were outstanding.

I thought that was Gregg Bissonette on the bass guitar but I looked closer and it was his brother Matt.

Love Don Grolnick...fantastic composer. "Pools"? Great. "Nothing Personal", may be less dense (?)...another cooker. I just stumbled upon Grolnick's COMPLETE London Concert. Had the original single disc since its release. There's 6 additional tunes that may be better than the original 8.The group = The Breckers, Erskine, Alias, Peter Washington, Robin Eubanks, & Marty Ehrlich.

The concert was a fundraiser for the Natural Law Party which, among other things, advocated the widespread practice of Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation that George loved. I was there and, through my TM connection, attended the post concert party that was held in a room in the same building as the concert. George came into the room unannounced and stood right next to me. I was star-struck and actually took a step away from him. But he started speaking to the few of us in his vicinity. I think the first thing he said was: "I had no voice for those first two songs! But then the power of Purusha took over and everything went on automatically the way it's supposed to." (I was struck by his mention of "Purusha" which is the field of eternal silence, because I belong to a group of TM practitioners called "Purusha".) George was very respectful of an Indian Ayurvedic doctor who came to that party. It was clear George knew him from some previous Ayurvedic consultation. George showed great humility. The concert was fabulous! And when Ringo, unannounced, came onto the stage the place went nuts! But, much to his credit, Ringo, rather than bask in that adulation, walked straight over to George and grabbed is hand and lifted his arm and said "Let's hear it for Georgie!" Beautiful, Ringo!

For whatever reason, I never sat down to learn this bass part till now. It's a great melody and superb execution with a lot of nuance. Really fun to play when you get it right!

Nice work. I liked the construction (and even the humor). Refreshing not to hear any slap or modal scales for the sake of trying to impress someone. Just grooving for the sake of bass. Amen brother.
