This Hollywood fight makes no sense. They should have hired some actual combat veterans to guide them through what a fight against an objective would be. First you pound the targets with indirect fire whether artillery, mortars, air power, then support by fire with tanks, etc. Full frontal assault with infantry always flanking. Hopefully our recoil rockets or smaw get results. If that fails then hand to hand combat, but then again it’s aliens.

Thats why one day he took the machine by force from the scientist, the machine look that his creator was getting capture by the soldiers. The machine saw the real threat of humanity, thats why the machine creat all those tripods and reprogram them so in a accurate time those tripods start attacking humanity for good. Obviously the machine wouldnt attack his creator. The machine was the first AI created in that time, but the problem was as every AI created in the world today is that they dont have a human sole, depending of how you treat an AI. The AI will notice if you are a hostile or not, others can immediately identify of what is the real threat and the machine saw what was the real threat and that was humanity. The scientist knew that humanity was doomed. Thats why he decided to divide his soul in 9 different dolls, because one day all of them will solve a way to bring back life to earth again. There might be a few human survivors left all over the world but is hard to tell. The gas killed everything living nothing alive and maybe the chancellor was already killed by the gas or he was kill when he was trying to get out of the city. This movie is amazing and interesting at the same time. The scientist here combined science and alchemy to creat the machine and he also use the same thing to divide his soul and transfer each of his soul into the dolls. He discover a way by an ancient book in the main library of the city. I wish there was a second part to see how the world is now after they defeat the machine completely and they solve the mystery of how to bring back life.
