Look at the Canadian dollar vs the US dollar on a 30 year chart. It's in a fixed range, averaging 80 cents. It doesn't matter who's in Ottawa. Blaming or crediting your preferred party and leader has little to do with economics, and more to do with emotion and the entertainment value of a given leader. Be glad you are in a democracy now. History shows that all democracies come to an end. You might not be a winner when that happens.

Trudeau has pretty much remained lock step with the Mulroney era adoption of Reagans Neoliberals and so did the same in terms of policy as Stephen Harper. The main contention is more about who the constituents are. You have Montreal and Quebec and there are big companies there (banks tech) and you have the west coast (Oil, raw resources). The country gets divided on what sectors and patronage families get taken care of first. Albeit Justin's hollow virtue is grating after 8 years of anemic growth, we can't say the Pierre Poillievre brings anything different to the table. Then again I am of the school of Marc Cohodes and he might be one to say that a Jaguar never changes its spots. Canada will be ok. But we think it will be ok due to the proximity it has with the United States. The general public however doesn't feel that and that can be attributed to what the CSUITE tosses around on Bay Street as "Bifurcation" Keep up the great work gentleman. Culturally in Canada just interchanges between figureheads. Its not so much about doing poorly. If that was the case Mulroney wouldn't have lasted as long as he did.
