The most annoying was his reply to the question: "Since inflation was high for few years, why not go under 2% for some time" and JP replied "No, 2% target is good" 🤮

Deflation is kryptonite to a debt-based monetary system. They fear it because it increases the cost of the government’s debt, which makes it harder to inflate it away.

Yeah, its kind of got this bad "superhero wannabee" vibe. But its the kind of place where everybody wears what they think the boss will approve of.

Keith, I would not be so in love with the 80s. We needed to dial back the lack of 70s productivity, but we've been overcorrecting and in love with trickle down economics ever since, and this has helped foster the fiscal mess and inequality that we are dealing with on multiple fronts in society today.

Digital silver in a digital age, litecoin is a digital precious metal, not a security. Litecoin is the oldest coin on the market after bitcoin, since its inception in 2011. The scarcity of litecoin is the key feature of its technology. Everyone tends to flock to digital silver and digital gold, litecoin, and bitcoin, when things aren't going well. Litecoin is a decentralized digital commodity, just like bitcoin, but not even close so heavily concentrated in a few hands like bitcoin is. Both have Proof-of-Work consensus, and both have a limited supply of coins. Only that litecoin is lighter, swifter, and hugely undervalued against bitcoin. Litecoin (LTC) being a digital commodity provides a decent inflation hedge as well because there will be mined only a limited number of 84 million litecoins in total.

I’m not sure how J. Powell can be held responsible for inflation. I always thought inflation was largely due to reckless fiscal policy, free handouts, excess spending and supply chain issues! - To quote Milton Friedman: “Inflation is made in Washington and nowhere else.”

Again, Powell is far in bed with his big, fat cats in the big banks. They are crying because the rate has been high for so long that it is really hurting them...Awe poor babies. So, Powell is BSing all over the place to justify in lowering the rates for his precious assh**es and other unorthodox actions. That rich man is horrible!

Powell was appointed by Trump and reappointed by Biden. He is loved by both parties😂. He will do what Donald says if he wants another term, or stay independent and retire. In any case, we are stuck with him...

Fed\Powell could indeed bring down inflation fast as well as create deflation, but that would cause every american to be come 10 times more angry at the Fed when the all lose their jobs as companies lay everyone off.
