picked up a bottle of batch #11 at total wine for $75. the scent has a deep sassafras or licorice note, like root beer with less sugar. It's also got a little bit of chocolate, freshly mowed lawn, oak and spice. It's my first whiskey over $30 so I can't wait to try it tonight!

Y’all might know this already, but JD SBBP Rye just landed hours ago at 7/8 in Bloomington. Another great store pick from those guys.

Staves is the plural of staff, just like wives is the plural of wife and wolves is the plural of wolf. You don't put a stave in a barrel just like you don't put a wive in a laundry room.

These are just sitting on shelf in my area. They are not selling well and I don't think it's very good. I've tried it twice and neither time did it drink like a $100+ bottle. For $270 this is a ripoff.

Great whiskey and killer looking bottle. I love having these on shelf because they look classy.

I'd say this is my favorite new rye this year - at least for the price. The Little Book is my favorite profile but at $170 it's too much money.

These are some overpriced bottles. At $99 they are pretty hefty for a legacy 6 year old bottle. The whole Grain To Glass is very gimmicky since they didn't grow the grains which is what that normally means. They just sourced the grain like normal. The strain of Becks is also not unique - it's a very common corn. I'm not normally big on Wheated Bourbon but the best bottle in this lineup is the wheated. The weakest is the Ryed Bourbon. I'd rather drink HH BIB than that bourbon. The Rye Whiskey is VERY close to the Wheater for me but it just has too many sharp edges - which is odd since Rye normally ages faster. These are KILLER looking bottles but my corks are a touch short and don't hold as well as I'd like.

"Straight whiskey" can be a blend of whiskeys from different distilleries in the same state. It also signifies it was aged at least 2 years. Also, "full proof", "barrel proof", "cask strength", "rickhouse proof", etc. These don't actually have legal definitions and can get murky, and thus subtly mislead people on what they are getting, assuming it's straight from the barrel, which isn't always the case.

The first store is called North Oaks. Just to to the west of that on santefe by that 7/11 is the Whiskey Cabinet, it always has a ton of store picks. West Edmond area(technically north okc)has Bacchus and Toasted Barrel at may and 178th.

We live here in OK and still have not visited Wander Folk Spirits or review it yet. We need to get on that!

Iowa is a "regulated" state.

Had several WFP’s and WFP store picks and IMO, 107 is the perfect proof point for it. I like cask strength and barrel proofs, but WFP is pretty hot and funky in a way I just don’t love. 107 is among the sweetest, most smashable bourbons out there.

Pancho's in Oklahoma City has an excellent selection and The Spirit Shop in Norman has a lot of private barrel picks.
