Who in their right mind takes a blood oath over parkers? Clearly they didn't know what Parker's was. Parker's is just below Unicorn. To me Unicorns are really just BTAC/Pappy 15+/4 Roses LE/Birthday Bourbon. Now... I'd actually argue that Handy and Birthday Bourbon don't deserve unicorn status either for the same reason I cut Pappy off at 15+... they aren't that good, even at MSRP. I've had countless bottles of whiskey that MSRP below Handy and Pappy 10 and 12 that are just better whiskey. Same for Birthday Bourbon. Parker's consistently drinks like a unicorn but is available enough that I don't think it fits. It doesn't have the same cache outside of bourbon nerds. Same goes for a Russel's 15 or 13. Those are bottles that some people just won't buy because they don't know.
