Love this colour combinations and thankfully i can source the showstopper yarn you used. How many skeins/balls of the show stopper did you use for your 48” x 60” please?

2. You won’t use much of the second ball but one is not quite enough.

I love this blanket. I like how you explained what to look for in a variegate yarn. I am planning on making this for a friend. I do have a question. If I don’t want the fringed ends, is there a different way to finish off the rows? To be clear the blanket is beautiful the way you made it, I’m just deciding what I’d like to do.
@livechilllifeАй бұрын
Yes, you could trim them down and secure them with a border. There is a designer that specializes in mosaic crochet and she has a technique called a double border for mosaic blankets. If you do a search on that, it should pop right up. Tinna Thorudottir is her name.❤️ It will show you how to hide the ends.

@@livechilllife I'm making the tartan blanket, but instead of pulling three strands through, I am crocheting a chain weave through each line. using a smaller hook for the chains, so not too bulky. Will become a dog coat. hopefully.
@livechilllifeАй бұрын
Oh that sounds fun! What color combo are you working with?
@jackharrison7613Ай бұрын
@@livechilllife It's for my friends' dog, so it is the Strachan Tartan --- predominantly blue and green with red, black and yellow pinstripes. Your video has made the process so much easier for me. thanks.

I love these & still hoping to make them from your tutorial❣️ I’m not good with patterns & at my age & disabilities it’s hard for me to read & follow patterns & am so very grateful to everyone who spends their time & hard work making tutorials❣️ 🤗
@livechilllife2 ай бұрын
What are you able to crochet? Are you actively crocheting anything right now?
@hillbillyheavenWV2 ай бұрын
@@livechilllife Yes I know all the stitches & crochet every day. I mostly make afghans, beanie hats, scarves, washcloths & doilies. I bought the little wood rings & decided to watch your entire fish tutorial & then realized that the entire tutorial was not shown & that I needed a computer to print the pattern to complete it. Unfortunately I am not good with following patterns nor do I have a computer or printer. Anyway, I am trying to hand copy your pattern & figure it out. When I was much younger & first learned to crochet (before cell phones & home computers were invented 🤣) I was teaching myself to learn to crochet from books & learning to follow patterns. But then I had 3 kids & had to work full time & quit crocheting for decades, now that I’m disabled & older I’ve rediscovered the love of crochet but I don’t learn as fast or well as I did when younger. I can follow almost any tutorial but just have trouble with reading/understanding patterns. PLEASE don’t think I’m complaining, I truly appreciate everyone who gives their own time & hard work to teach tutorials & give patterns for free❣️
