This is very correct! Outsourcing is the biggest issue for our economy right now! AI losses are just cover up for the outsourcing. The companies are paying politicians to keep quite as they destroy the economy for their personal gains. The American software companies and are not paying the amount of taxes needed on outsourced jobs. The taxes on outsourced jobs are too low or non existant. Their software products should be paying tariffs with the amount of outsourcing being done in software industry based on the amount of outsourced labor in their company. It allows them to go around H1B1 visas which were more monitored to see if the need counldn't be filled locally now they are by passing all of that and going straight to outsourcing. We need to stand for all American jobs in all sectors of the economy at some point it affects all of us! Blue collar, White collar, and any collar, we need to lookout for fellow amercains to keep our economy strong as a whole. Also, I'm fine with foreign software companies but they should pay a tariff or tax on their product just like any other good that comes into our ports entering our economy to keep it fair for all competing companies.

This is exactly how I lost my tech job. 25 years I have been in the industry. Those I have kept in contact with in my former company now tell me they were told they can only hire in India.

My bro went from Toradora live action to socioeconomic policy. Hey man I also have an advanced degree. A couple things...I generally agree with your premise however keep in mind that colleges push STEM degrees while there have never been enough jobs. It's only getting worse with outsourcing and corporate greed. There are jobs but you need to shift your field or function a bit. The things you learned can be applied to almost anything. Maybe you aren't a programmer but you're a project manager at a software related company. Don't be afraid to move cities or states. Everyone wants remote positions. Being willing to go to the office is a plus. Don't get stuck in the trap of "it's not my fault" because then you ultimately won't get a job. Improvise. Adapt. Overcome. You're talented. I believe in you
