I have just bought one of these. My guess is the webbing on the front is just to add strength in high wind if the outer door is open. I know you did not have the pegs supplied, but Vango add two special pegs with eyelets bent at 90 degrees so the strap can be secured flat to the ground. This works well and gets rid of the trip hazard.

Phone or GoPro? The sound quality is pretty good considering your not on a mic. 👌 Nice one buddy. ⛺👍🏴

@@KieCamps 😂 Both cracking tents buddy and look great pitched up together. 👌 The Soulo is a little out of my price range though 😅 I've had my eye on the 2024 Vern 1 since release, plus Nortent have upgraded the pole thickness so hopefully that will help strengthen it up somewhat...Value for money though mate, you can't go wrong! Your video sound quality is pretty good as is mate, no doubt the dji will boost it no end. 👍 Great Channel mate, all the best. 👍👌

@@1984flicky Same here, one day maybe I will justify the £1000+ for the soulo but definitely no time soon 🤣🥲 Absolutely value for money, I’m loving it.. intrigued to see how it performs during the winter but I’m almost certain it’ll be fine!

@@KieCamps just doing a bit of research really, and between the jigs and the reels, the Abisko lite 3 is roughlyish, the same size as the nordisk Oppland 2, which I was also looking at! I have a helm compact which is great, just fancy something I can stretch out in! Lol

whats the length like on the inner ? suitable for taller hikers ? 6ft4 here but with a thick sleeping bag and all that jazz would i be touching the ends ?

@@MacCa-18 I’m 6”2 mate and I use the long wide nemo tensor pad and there is still room between my head and the edge of the tent to fit clothes, electricals etc.. I think you would be fine being 6”4 👌🏻

Cracking video mate, beautiful scenery up North. I really need to head up there soon. The Brecon Beacons are where I call home buddy. I love the Nortent Vern 1, it's probably My favourite tent on the market at the minute and I'm yet to purchase one. Just out of curiosity, have you got around to seam sealing the fly or is it worth even bothering mate? Be interested to know your take on seam sealing the Vern 1. Looks cracking on the summit mate. 👌👍

When you watch these wild campers on You Tube, they always seem to pitch in some really fucking stupid highly exposed places. Then they complain about the wind buffeting them during the night. What's wrong with pitching near a bit of foliage for wind protection? Braindead the lot of them.

I have a Fjallraven tent and I think people don't realise how solid they are, because the strong, thin fabric moves around a lot in the wind but the structure is solid. A bit like a heavyweight bloke but with long hair blowing around- he ain't going anywhere even though his hair is blowing!

@@KieCamps the bobcats were too small, and he wanted his own space... It's well proven it's value, and he can set it up himself. Brought the Flex tail air mattress, definitely rate it. Paid 77 or similar off eBay. We've been out few times this last week, beach and our usual sheep pen. Getting popular up there, about 20 or so there Friday night, we had to go further up. And the week before was busy, but we got there first that time...

Great video Kieran. Looks like hot one - some amazing views. Newt wrong with separating the hiking and wild camping my friend. I do it all the time. Sometimes the hard hikes and climbs are a bit too punishing with the big overnight pack on. Keep up the great work 😊👍🏼
