Thanks man! It’s DI guitar and the signal chain is pre-eq, Archetype Nolly using the clean amp with the cabinet turned off, Saturn 2 for crispy top end, EQ and Valhalla Shimmer using black hole preset with 50% mix

Oh 😛 it’s basically a 1440p monitor and the panel type is VA LED curved 1500 with AMD free sync technology and display hdr giving great colour accuracy.

Fuck man this is heavy as hell. Huge kudos for not falling into the "weird noise = thall" trap. Pitch shifting was tasteful, stutter effects were well placed, and those low string harmonics felt like my brain was getting scratched in the exact right place. Hope you do some more of this!

Hey dude, this sounds fucking sick! What string gauges are you using & what tuning is the guitar in/was it transposed for the double drop c? (I'm aware it's a multiscale, I use the exact same guitar) :)

Thank you man! It’s between .080 to .013 I think and they’re Ernie ball strings. I’m probably gonna shift to D’addario strings or something else and looking at what’s best for me. I pluck quite hard so I tend to go for heavier strings. Yes it was drop tuned by -5 semitones from drop F. It’s such a great axion label ever produced :)

Layering drum samples, more eq processing, saturation, lots of compression, parallel drum comp and it is all fed into an instrument mix bus to get the overall result. There’s allot to it aha.

Hype and small batches. Would love to see even more produced but it’s probably hard when you have only yourself making them(or a small group.) Incredibly niche, Spline hit it out of the park with this design. Makes me wonder what else they’ll produce.

I would imagine one person doing it, and getting a factory to produce a pedal would cost a ton! Cheaper to do it with hands but also very time consuming when you have to not only assemble it but test it.

@@iamjacktaylor tell ya what though, I could see someone on Reverb wanting to be an absolute troll selling it for somewhere in the $400 US ballpark. I’ve seen it happen with Subzero Rogue VI guitars being sold for 1000 bucks when they were having trouble keeping up with demand. Another pedal to get your hands on is the Life is Unfair Bad Machine fuzz/distortion. I’d love to see what you think about that compared to the Cathedral.

So sick, thanks for the unbiased review - appreciate the kind words so much homie! I usually recommend Boost mode with high gain setups. The up / down fuzz modes work best with low to mid gain amps with a lot of headroom, for more doomy fuzz tones.

I thought the blend knob was for just the harmonics, not the entire mix but maybe ask Spline about that. Love this pedal

Blend is a wet/dry mix knob, so you can blend in a lil grossness and retain clarity. If you turn it all the way to the right, you're "bypassing" the pedal. Cathedral has a lot of vintage circuit heritage, and was designed with passive pickups in mind!
