It’s fun to browse EBay! Prices are all over the place but often you’re buying from pretty unknown sellers. Go there and search for “ Lego Battrax” and there will be many for sell.

Yes … as long as they sell… I think we all suspect more … castle sets soon. I know the Designer user sets have more castle sets scheduled but no idea what Lego ideas has in the pipeline…

No, was released in Denmark as well, but if I remember it right, it could not be found everywhere.

For sure… alternative builds are easy and fun… go to free site “ backoftheboxbuilds.com”. And they have pdfs of several alt builds of the 6060. Enjoy!!

Hi not sure I totally understand question… But “ bricklink” is a reseller site… which is owned by LEGO group. The resellers there all sell only LEGO and quality is all over the map! Buyers leave reviews which are helpful but I’ve found sellers very honest there. Hope that helps

To me, the dragon emblem on the shields and the castles they featured are so iconic that I doubt this would pose a serious problem to the designers and the marketing team. My guess would be that LEGO(R) is currently focused on licensed themes, like Harry Potter, Star Wars, Marvel etc. Call-backs or revivals of old castle theme factions have only been featured in sets like the Lion Knights' Castle or Forest Hideout, for example. These sets were targeted to collectors who grew up with the classic themes. But these sets seem to be goodies and not the start of a full sequel to those themes. Also, it could be that there has been a noticeable shift in children's play preferences towards digital entertainment, video games and tv series, which has affected the popularity of traditional toys such as LEGO(R) sets. This trend could make LEGO(R) hesitant to invest in themes that may not resonate with today’s youth. Give a kid the option to choose between a Black Knight's Castle or a Harry Potter Castle. I bet most would choose the latter. So, in summary, LEGO(R) probably doesn't see much revenue in bringing back old themes. But maybe we'll be surprised one day.

My understanding is it had a very limited release initially so may not be that many sets out there. I felt very fortunate to find the box… bought it on an eBay Bid

Great question! “Window shopping” old Lego sets can be fun to get an idea of cost and if you want to collect the set. A good place to start is a website “ brick set”. You could do a search for “black falcons” and they would link to all the set produced … minifigs in the set… reviews and links to a site you can buy used sets from “ brinklink” which is now owned by LEGO. Great post! I looked up "Toro" as I had never heard of them before. Looks like originated in New Zealand in 50s but I've never come across them. I do remember getting the kids "Mega Blok" , in the 1990s, you could make the set into a dinosaur. But you are Lego 'royalty' using sets from the start of minifigure days. Thanks again for sharing!

Me too! The space series was such an iconic part of Lego’s history. While modern sets are designed with more detailed and smoothed parts, I’ll take the retro sets any day.
