I have NEVER considered actually lighting any of my LEGO sets........until now. Thank you so much for sharing your introduction to the process. I might do this same kit. It looks great. (especially the flickering function)

You are doing a good job james. The set gets a lot of more feel in it with lighting. I completely feel the stress of those wires. I recently updated the livingroom and get frustrated when my internet refuse to reboot. So i better not start yet with these wire sets😢😂

Thanks… remodeling yourself! Total respect! I have this set in a nice spot in the Lair, no plans for another lighting for a while 🙂

you've done a nice job and an interesting review. If not done yet, at your place I would contact the company to tell them about this video and to share your experience. maybe they could give you some tips or at least should improve their instructions (based on what I see in your video). I never lighted a set myself, coz I feared to do anything that could damaged a lego brick, especially to hide the cables, as an electronics hobbyist I know that glue and drilling is often required with cables...

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll see if they have any more helpful tips … most online help is centered around connection wires to expansion boards which was not a problem for me. Oh yes if I wanted to drilling holes and using a glue gun would have been the way to go. Good point about All train enthusiasts know this working stuff as second nature. In the end the lights went on so successful! This lighted set fits in well in my display area…. Even my non Lego wife liked it! Thanks for taking the time to comment

@@vintagebricks you´re welcome, also I have an old 3$ soldering iron bough in some kind of dollar store, I used it during some electronic projects when I needed to make small holes in cheap plastic ABS boxes where I put the electronics. *you need to ventilate the room*. Compared to drill it is easier (btw, when one drills (s)he whould wear a dust mask)

Oh good advice… I’m a dentist so drills come naturally to me but soldering iron great idea I noticed “ light my bricks”. Just announced whole new lighting “easy” lighting system you add as you build the set… so looks like industry is evolving!!

@@vintagebricks I see, you take care of people's smiles! call me conservative, but I missed the time when all the minifugures have a smile on their faces... always remember to ventilate the room well while using a soldering iron. _____ PS: I take care of my teeth
