I replaced my head unit. But the wiring is already there. With the standard unit you can link the rear channel to the front channel

@@PearsallEu I have the original unit like the one in the video above. I don't understand exactly where I have to connect the wires.ls there a dedicated circuit for the rear speakers? Where is the location of the area exactly?

@@cornelvasile5851 behind the head unit in the iso block. The head unit doesn't have a rear out. Snip the wires and connect to front channel. Behind the unit is a standard iso wiring harness.

Hi Wayne, thanks for making this video as it really helped me. Before watching this I thought it was a main board issue. I would recommend staying away from the power switch/USB board V1.0 with the red switch as that seems to be the one that fails. Get the 1.1 revision with the black switch (or later) as that doesn't seem to suffer from the same fault.

If you really want to help people then remove the sound and do a narration over dub explaining whats going on so people have a chance of following what your trying to lay down. I'm not trolling you I am honestly trying to help you and by extension those of us that want to learn from your video. not in the back of mine, i added a couple of pins to the door side connector, and soldered onto the speaker.

in the end, i 3d printed some speaker plates (you can cut a plywood ring too), foam tape on ring to door, and speaker to ring. you need to be careful of the wire being caught by the door closer hinge bar (feel how it goes as door closes... it cut my cable the first time). Feed the cable up - the rubber above the speaker is actually a clip point for the speaker cable... then to the hole for the wiring harness.

i've already pushed back the pins above the F keys and lifted the keyboard but there are pins on the sides that can't move. is there a way around this? i have the exact same model

Vielen Dank für das Video! Mir hätte noch geholfen zu sehen, wo genau an dem Rahmen die Haken sind. Ich vermute, an der Unterseite in der Mitte, konnte ihn aber nicht lösen. Muß es wohl doch den Experten überlassen! 😒
