Don't ask me to pick which version I live best. I can't. So impressed with Graham's but the original Croz is awesome. I adore both of these guys and their music together and apart.

Voices are meant to decline but in their decline, they can evolve into something more singular and emotive like what happened to Joni's.

The later version of Both Sides Now is gorgeous. It's a testament to what a great piece of writing it is, that it's SO effective in both scenarios.

The benefit Neil and his ex wife Pegi did every year, before he dumped her. He quit doing it after that. 😿😿

Who cares they talk about him like he's a brain surgeon or something. Just some dude plays a guitar. Makes a lot of noise

Agree with Joni. I prefer her voice after the first 100,000 cigarettes. I like Court and Spark, Hejira, etc more than the high pitched songs.

Cool. Wonderin'#2 took me by surprise, and yet I recognized the origin; all of it like a series snapshot of milestones from back in the day. But still here every day. But even in my surprise, it's great to hear Neil share here from along the way.

His real name is David Vancourtland Crosby. Right wing political heavy hitter family since the Mayflower. He wasn't a hippy. He loved and always packed a gun

Mom you are so very beautiful you have no idea how. Beautiful you are. It breaks my heart I couldn’t be near you. It breaks my heart more that Mexicans are not seen. They were always so very close to my heart I know why now

What beautiful response to Gross doing exactly what Joni describes the press does. Joni Mitchell‘s rich appreciation for human artistry, whether it’s instrumental or voice is so deep and long that she deserves to be presented with better interview material to respond to. There wasn’t even a question being asked. It was a set up to have to answer for a prejudged superficial analysis of her art because of her smoking. God I can’t listen to Terry Gross anymore. Not for years

In the movie Dylan said of her song writing it was “like an oil painting in a dentists office.” I hope he really said that because that is brilliant.

Well, he may not have said that verbatim, but... Dyl had a say in the movie, so, he surely liked that line and let them leave it in hahaha
