Olivia Wilde on….the otherworldly Grey Gardens

This is my fifth time watching "Grey Gardens," and it is still my favorite documentary of all time, both for the excellent production values and the delightfully peculiar subjects! I don't think even Flannery O'Connor could have invented these ladies, but I'm certain she would have appreciated them!

It’s an incredible doc. Did you ever watch That Summer, which inspired Grey Gardens doc.

here's the thing , they lived a large part of the 1st parts of their lives in a relatively free way, of course manners were inculcated however obviously the 2 women at judicious pt ignored societal norms. So in their later yrs, they STILL "lived free" & to the extent they could (& wished) continued to thumb societal norms. But this time , in poverty.
