That’s the rhythm guitars and it’s on the same stem as the drums and vocals. You can’t remove it

one thing I've learned about videos is that they never truly capture performances. I've gone to concerts and right before look them up live and the videos never give justice to bands. I'm pretty sure disturbed is amazing live.

If david could sing more like in the studio version it would be so nice... I know the story about his surgery and i really believe that it affects it's singing potential, but cmon, i can't find a single live vid where he didn't look like he was singing while struggling to catch a breathe. Don't get me wrong, i love disturbed and draiman is a composing monster.
@chasemcdaniel36207 жыл бұрын
your comments a year old but i gotta say.... i doubt he struggles to sing the songs. he just tries to make the tone as THICK as possible. in the recording of this song he duets with himself at certain points, an octave lower. also he thickens the rasp and distortion on the records (which is hard to do for a two hour set , for an entire tour) David is a baritone so these notes are at the top of his range. so that means hes pushing his limits. and succeeding. Your not gonna hear Ivan Moody sing in Davids range

@@chasemcdaniel3620 i agree, what i do to sing songs like this is sing in the lower part, in the studio i do voices even more high than him (i'm noble bass/baritone dramatic) but live is impossible, or is possible but is so tired

This song is even better played on an acoustic guitar

Man, I don't get the griping about his singing. He sounds damn good to me here. I'm not a big fan of these guys but I love this song; I'd say he's pulling some Dickinson (look him up if you're under 20) level vocal melodies on this song. I frankly didn't expect him to be able to pull it off live.

People don't realize he has a condition that causes stomach acid to splash on his vocal chords...That's why they bitch.

This song is very difficult to sing for a male...it's up there on the range scale...this performance leaves a lot to be desired compared to the studio version however I think that's just because there are so many vocal harmony tracks on disturbed albums to get that poppy metal radio sound. I would rather hear this than have them play to a backing track like so many other "artists" do while live...in summary, sounds good :). Dan as usual hit the solo perfectly.
@joealicea37447 жыл бұрын
surgeyX yes, it's very difficult to do live. The phrasing in the verses doesn't help either. It makes it hard to keep the air in the lungs. I'm the vocalist for a Disturbed tribute band and this is the one song that always poses the biggest challenge for me. If the drummer speeds up the tempo even the slightest, I'm toast.
