Hi nach Frankfurt! Vielen Dank! Tut mir leid, dass es gerade etwas ruhig ist, aber ich bin noch dabei :-) Mein Heimatclub ist der GC Pfalz in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse, ist auch ganz nett da und lohnt sich, wenn man mal in der Gegend ist. Gevloggt hab ich den allerdings nie :-D

The burgers at Ben’s Porch are the best in the country! They expanded the patio because it’s a nice place to sit and watch the stars at night. Thanks for the great video. Will be there July 27-31

I have a close friend who is one of the early members and very fortunate to be able to play 3 days and 6 rounds a year. The bunker to the left of 14 fairway should have a plaque with my name because its like my home in Nebraska! LOL Thank you John Feagler for giving me the awesome opportunities

brilliant question, I would need to count it :) The course is behind some massive dunes, but from the high points it should be possible. I found this on quite some links courses that don‘t run right at the sea. 😊

Most of the holes look fairly similar...How would you rate course? Abbey was like an arrow off the Tee...

Thanks for the feedback! Indeed you are right, there are some spectacular ones, but not sure if they are really good holes. On the other hand just too many boring ones, I think. At Top100golfcourses.com we rank Alferini something like 89 in Spain and 30ish in southern Spain. I think Flamingos is better if you want to play Villa Padierna, both might be fun for some recreational golf, but avoid them when it’s windy, I’d say. It’s certainly not a championship course and I had pity with the LET-girls.

@@kellergolfer I always check out your Vlogs! Played a lot of the same courses in Spain, but never tried Alferini. And don´t think I will. You always seems to be very honest in your thoughts. I´m off to Costa del Sol in May (from Sweden where the winter never ends). Zagaleta is always on the list. I hope to try out San Roque (Old). Have you played that one? I like Sotogrande, I remember your Vlog. We usually play Zagaleta, El Paraiso, Torrequebrada...Do you have any forgotten gem up your sleave? Thanks again!

Hi Steven, thank you for your feedback, highly apreciated! Indeed, there are so many courses now down here! I have not played the new San Roque Old course, but I hear nice things about this. Will certainly vlog it one day too. I personally quite like the new Alcaidesa Links (not a GREAT course, but quite fun to play most of the time) and you should try Los Naranjos and of course Las Brisas, especially if you are from Sweden. Brisas is unfortunately very full, I haven't managed to get a game there for a while. I basically agree with the Southeast ranking of Top100golfcourses.com (www.top100golfcourses.com/golf-courses/continental-europe/spain/southern-spain?page=1). Some people say "Santana" is worth a visit (it's on my list). Please let me know what you think!!

@kellergolfer Cool, thanks! Also failed to get a Tee Time at Las Brisas. Played Santana several times. Always in good condition and nice atmosphere. Not a stern test and easy to build some confidence 👌 And you can fill the bags with avocados, bunch of trees, especially after 17th Hole. Looking forward to more Vlogs. Best of luck and Happy Easter.

Regarding the winds, levante means from the side the sun rises, poniente the side the sun sets. In this case because where Sotogrande is located the east wind comes from the sea.

Great video. For an international visitor, would you recommend Kennemer or Bernadus? I understand they are very different courses, but do you have an opinion? Cheers

Thank you, Daniel! I have not played Kennemer yet, but I am quite sure your impression is right that they are pretty different courses. Kennemer should be (to my knowledge) more a traditional, inland-links-like course, a bit comparable to Noordwijkse (see my vlog from there - I can highly recommend it!). It's a lovely old Harry Colt designed course. This course is certainly high on my wish-list for the NL! Bernardus is a super-modern full-facility club (and you can stay on site) with a "member-for-the-day-concept" and absolutely great for a full day of play, practise, food. For me beeing more on the traditional side of golf, I would play Kennemer (and Noordwijkse, as they are rather close to each other) when in the area.

kellergolfer thanks for your reply. I agree about traditional golf courses, however the Bernardus looked in such good condition in your video, I thought to ask. (I did see another video about Kennemer and it didn’t look like it was at the same curation standard. But hey, that’s links golf for you I guess :) Maybe we’ll just have to play both!

Another great video @kellergolfer - you should however try to hit more balls into the bushes/hazards etc. Golf is much more fun and varied when you miss a lot more often rather than just hit perfect straight balls - fairways and greens ha ha

Wieder ein Klasse Course Vlog, schön zusammen geschnitten sieht einfach harmonisch aus 👍🏻. Tommy da oben in den Kommentaren kann ich nur zustimmen, ich könnte dir auch den ganzen Tag zuschauen beim Golf spielen, so smooth und easy und dabei so präzise. Ich freu mich immer über deine Course Vlogs. Einen Platz den wir zusammen spielen können haben wir ja auch schon gefunden. Müssen nur noch den passenden Termin finden :). Lg Jörg

not quite 😀 but they have been easier with travel restrictions during the last months. You are so right, a lot of really great courses - and no, haven't been to The Hague (I have been to de Pan, but only for playing, will go there again for vlogging!)

@@kellergolfer den Platz hab ich mir ja auch angeguckt, aber mir ist halt auch aufgefallen, das es bei dir nie, wirklich nie anstrengend aussieht. Ich sehe so viele Leute auf dem Platz wo es sehr anstrengend und schwer aussieht. Da bist du das genaue Gegenteil und ich versuche das auch schon zwischen durch, aber es wird einem meistens eingetrichtert das Länge immer hilft und man immer weit schlagen muss. Aber ich merke einfach wenn man smarte Entscheidungen trifft, ist es einfach nur wichtig seine Längen zu kennen und den Ball im Spiel zu halten. Heute habe ich mit einem ganz gemütlichen Schwung eine 84 gespielt und 36 Netto Punkte erreicht. Ist also alles auf dem richtigen Weg :). Vielleicht schaffen wir es ja auch mal eine Runde zu spielen, so weit weg bist du ja nicht :). Gruß Jörg

ich glaube ich hab meine Längen in dem "What's in the bag" angegeben, sonst muss ich das noch nachholen :-D Ist aber ziemlich genau LET-Durchschnitt. DAs reicht für ein solides Hcp auch von hinten ;-) Und danke für die Einladung - sollten wir wirklich mal machen, in Deiner Nähe sind ja auch Hubbelrath und Kosaido wollte ich sowieso mal vloggen, ist schon lange her, dass ich die gespielt habe.
