Would you advise following your chart with Bermuda grass? Also, we are restricted to 2 days here. So should I just water the 3rd time in the evening of one of those 2 days?

I'm in the head, will you work for a company? It's not your job technically. To remind you, you need a sharp in your lawn mower. What we use, it's like bro. You you're you're you're you're you're you're you're you're you're you're you're you're you're you're you're you're you're you're you're you're you're you're, you're pretty asked to pay? Ask to cut a** to cut LA months. Alright, you pass $40 or $30 to mow. Lawns, you don't pass by the hour. My God, you pass by the lawn and about how big it is. So that's dependent on how much money you make. Yeah, we make some money but come to the. We're working in the freaking.Heat yeah cost money it's not cheap to molons

Unfortunately there aren't. If there were we wouldn't be spending 1/2 of our life trying to get EPA approval and instead we would just use the product that is out there.

I feel like the mulch is good, but then will eventually kill your lawn as it would change into thatch down the line.
@OrganoLawn
@OrganoLawn 3 ай бұрын
Thatch buildup occurs if you have no microbial activity in your soil, also known as a dead soil. If your lawn develops thatch from mowing it is highly recommended that you change your cultural practices so they stimulate beneficial microbial activity instead of killing microbes.

I used to mow it short because I hated cutting the grass and would mow it low so I wouldn’t have to cut as often. Never sharpened my blades or water my lawn. Now that I have sod it’s a whole different story

This looks interesting. Is it only a dandelion control or does it affect other weed types too? Also what grass types is it safe to use on? I'm in the southeast where the grass types are a bit different than in Colorado.

Hey LOVE your videos! Quick question about watering. What about when you're overseeding your lawn, what do you recommend? And at what point do you recommend switching back into normal watering patterns.
@OrganoLawn
@OrganoLawn Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Watering for seed is to follow the 1-2-3-2-1 technique as you would normally. This time of year you should be on 2 days per week. When seeding set a schedule B for all the days that the system would normally be off (5 days per week) and do a light watering. I.e. 1-3 min for popups and 5-10 min for rotary heads (depending on sun angle). Hopefully this makes sense. Turn off the system after the seeds haver germinated (Ryegrass 7-10 days, Fescues 14-16 days, Bluegrass 21-23 days). Most seed blends have ryegrass in them to keep you motivated so if you over seed with a bluegrass blend make sure to keep watering as described until the bluegrass has germinated.

My landlord says only 1/2 hour everyday. I water m-f. Have a cat. But two possums live under house. And a raccoon shows up now and then. Black Meadow lives here also. Clover also. Foxtail and something else. Brown spots. 1/2 hour only. My landlord says 1" every day. Stupid. Roots need to go deeper if they are to survive hot weather. I can turn off the water at the nozzle end. Ok, I'm lazy. One night hose busted. One area was very wet next morning. Actually I didn't go outside until 11AM. Anyway that patch didn't need watering for at least 3 weeks. Have a well low pressure. Know it is low in iron because of the clover. But do I use fish fertilizer or worm castings. Have a small sprinkler for spot watering. Except my Asparagus. That I water once a week. Put them in a little ditch. Flood it twice on Friday. On Friday I get to water an hour. Yes!

0:36 the contractors didn't install a valve with a drain nipple or any way to drain the water from irrigation line. Is it because temperature will never go near 32 degrees in the basement?
@OrganoLawn
@OrganoLawn Жыл бұрын
I am not sure where you live but I have seen contractors forget to install drains even in areas where temperatures do get below freezing. There is a workaround if needed. You can turn off the water to the house and then use an air compressor to blow the water backwards through something like a sink or faucet.

Growing up here in Phoenix I was taught to water 2x a week deeply. The Bermuda grass will spread and fill in best. Also to cut it short until it has filled in. I was taught it would help it be tolerant of times with missed watering. After it is reestablished in spring then to cut it ~2". I dont know if it is correct or not. It is just how I was taught back in the late 60s & early 70s. And now, I am moving to Iowa so have to learn how to get rid of the sticker weeds there and what to over seed with and how to care for it. I am 64 and still trying to learn and get better. Thank you for your videos.

We are not sure about warm season grasses like the ones that grow in areas like Phoenix, but this is the correct technique for cool season grasses which you will most likely have in Iowa.
