This crash almost exactly mirrors the incident in 1994 in Indiana with American Eagle Flight 4184. Same plane. Same altitude. Same demise. Nearly the same amount of occupants. And if the icing scenario did bring this one down, it would be the exact same cause. I remember 4184 well because I was a young man of 15 who was fascinated by aviation from a young age. It shocked and saddened me and led me to a vow of never stepping foot on an ATR aircraft. All these years later, I never have.

I like x-plane more than MSFS. Would be nice to compare the graphics from cockpit view instead from outside, as the rain for example looks good from inside in x-plane, but not from outside. I dont care about graphics outside, more important is cockpit view.

These icing accidents didn’t happen to Fokker F27s or An-24s but only to ATRs. Why?

The place is not in Ethiopia , it is animation.

You have to understand that speed always effects control surfaces.. That should be clear as day, without thinking, overspeed will make impossible to manually trim, so you have to control the speed, cut off switch and the rest is all manually.. Why was that not possible in this case?
