I always find those "piracy losses" figures very iffy. How are they calculating those numbers? If they think that every download is a lost sale, that's beyond laughable. If hypothetically piracy was not an option, people wouldn't buy everything they consume through piracy, they simply would consume only a fraction of what they do and rewatch or replay the same stuff way over and over again. People don't magically get more money just because they can't pirate.

I used to pay for the highest tier Netflix, Amazon Prime and even some other local service. At some point, not only did the libraries all get sh*t and full of politically charged and horrible media, but I also started getting punished as a paying customer for being too poor to buy a brand new TV (look up HDCP) which meant that even though I paid for the best quality on these services AND I had computer monitors AT that resolution, I STILL only got the minimum resolution typically 720p, sometimes 480p so that these platforms could "protect" their sh*t from me, a paying customer. Suffice to say, I no longer pay any of them and have gone BACK to good old sharing, clean, easy, no roadblocks, just be careful.

but now legal sites are more annoying than pirates sites. Legal sites will region block you from content, have limited time for each IP so you better rush and watch them, stuck in their jail so you have to wait months to even watch the series while country of origin has already watched them and many others. While pirate sites (no longer called illegal as they are in a way free advertisment) will give you ads, but you cna use adblock, maybe aviruses if you are using wrong link, but you got antivirus and worse case scenario they stop working like the player doesn't work anymore or the site itself gets taken down. Money is not the issue if you are working, it's the annoyance and accessibility. Like what's more annoying 1 little ad in a corner or you not being able to watch a series, because you don't like in a specific country.
