A lot of great bands in this list, and a lot of great bands that missing from the list, but my top 5 are: 1. Debbie Harry - Blondie 2. Toni Halliday - Curve 3. Siouxsie Sioux - Siouxsie & The Banshees 4. Ann Wilson - Heart 5. Johnette Napolitano - Concrete Blonde. Also, I don't understand why some people are saying Kate Bush and Pat Benatar should be on this list, they were both solo artists and not a frontwoman for a band.

I was a kid in the 80's and never heard that this music genre was called "glam" back then. T-Rex and David Bowie were glam in the decade before. This was Hard 'n Heavy (Hard Rock and Heavy Metal). I wonder when the phrase "glam metal" even was pronounced first. It must be the same what they called "hairspray rock" later. BTW: The only Heavy Metal bands here are WASP and Judas Priest btw. WASP was hairspray metal then :P

Yeah sorry but to many thrash metal bands that I have never heard of. Where's Jane Siberry? Lighthouse? The Box ? Doug and the Slugs ? Jack Soul ? And on and on. This seems to have a lot of bands that were favoured by the person compiling the list rather then what Canadians liked.
