OMG ! Julie's singing is so sultry that it completely mesmeriizes me and turns my legs into Jelly. If I were there, I'd be sitting at a front row seat.......droolng over this fantastic lady and her performance ! Now that's a real woman ! Marilyn Monroe looks and a voice to kill !

I loved her "Boy on a Dolphin" before I knew who she was. Pure style and class. And who's on the saxophone(?) in the backing band? He's really in the mood...

I too love the great Gordon MacRae. Noone could sing like him. His vocal range and the ability to change tones is unequaled in todays music as well as the 40s and 50s era. Crosby. Sinatra. Damone, Martin etc. not even close to Gordon's voice or range. So much in love with him and his looks and of course his voice. Also I'm an 84 year old widow.

If the man can dance, sing, act and work a crowd in Vaudeville and Vegas, you know he is borne for the Broadway stage, but Sammy did not gravitate often to the boards. But the critics and audiences raved when he did. He was in Mr. Wonderful in '56, this, and that is all!!

Fanny is something else. truly,. treasurablly romantic. if you watch it, the underscoring of the music discarded from the musical stage play this was derived from. an intelligent choice, it must be said. Leslie Caron is wonderful in this, and the music, also. Nominated for best Oscar picture, and deservedly so, although West Side Story won, deservedly. but Fanny lingers, in all romantic hearts who never forget seeing it.

Alternative lyrics : Going home Going home On my way to home Tired and blue Weary too Never more to roam…. Friends of old Hearts of gold Fill my memory No more tears Happy years waiting there for me… Down de road Down de road Gentle voices call And I guess happiness Waiting down de road Waiting down de road….
