great work as always! I'm sure others have mentioned this but check the Perry metals 'dismounted bushwhacker cav' for some mixed-weapon ACW infantry. While you are there can I humbly suggest you might also want to have a look at the dismounted cav, horse holders and Berdan's Sharpshooters to mix things up a little? Finally, this ones a no-brainer but as the Perry Zouave box has 42 minis, getting one of those and a metal Zouave blister to add to will give you 2x24 man Zouave units if you need a change of pace for reasons of sanity ;-) Best of luck progressing the rest of the force, keen to see these guys hit the table!

Always nice with a new battle rport, but your camera seems to fail to focus (at the start of the video), perhaps you need more ligt on the table. Where did you get the two buildings from (not the church)?
@BootsontheTable3 күн бұрын
yes i said in the video it was a new camera i was trying but it didnt work well so I continued with my usual. The buildings are from Hovels

Loving the excellently painted Zulus Dom but why does your opponent need to have a barcode hanging from his steel rule, he must give a few figures an unnecessary lift from time to time??

Sir, butternut is a real color. Confederate uniforms at the Smithsonian Institution were made of a mix of white and brown threads and this is what produced the butternut color. There were other variations as well. The mixing of dark blue and white threads produced the light blue union trousers and overcoats. 8:07

Great tutorial. Honestly, I don't think you should have to justify how you paint your figures. Sadly the rivet counters seem to have infected every period in wargaming. The simple thing is to ignore them and they'll go away.
@BootsontheTable16 күн бұрын
Yeah I agree

Dom, I use a cheap silicone clay shaper to spread my basing material in hard to reach places. The tool cleans very easy and has a good springy texture to it to move the material around easier than smaller metal tools or an old brush. I bought a pack of them from an art supply store in the US for $5. Take care!
