Yeah, I don't like to look or feel of this Hostel at all. The best I've been in is Wombat near Tower Bridge London. Couldn't recommend it enough. There's a Curtin. Fan, and safe, Light/plug. Charger. on each bed. Very spacious. Private bathroom/ Toilet. The lookers all work with the same card. Been there 5 times.

I stayed there for a week on March 2024. It was very lovely and easy to get to by metro -though not from the airport-. Only thing that caught my eye was there were a lot of suspicious groups after around 1 am when I was walking back to the hostel. But all in all, it was great!

Good video. I've been staying in GDL as a student/tourist since mid-June. I would say that around 1 in 10 people speak English here. Not knowing Spanish here will handicap you. Overall I think it's pretty safe - safer than Phoenix, AZ where I lived for 24 years. The worst thing I've seen here was a half-dozen guys in a fist fight. No weapons were involved.

Awesome video and tour of Antiguas coffee shops :-) I did it too way back in 2016 when I first visited. Now I have been living in Guatemala for 3.5 years and I still love coming back to Antigua for great coffee! Next time you go there, try Aria Coffee Roasters, Paralelo 14, La Parada, El Gran Café, Fat Cat and Artistas de Café. These are very small but amazing coffee shops and worth a visit. I have been buying and working with some of them and I'm glad you met Jennifer at Café Café Guatemala. She's great!
