Hi Daniel, thanks for the interesting video! I an trying to downselect a motorgear for a project of mine but as I don't know much about them I am struggling in even finding a supplier. I need a compact motor-gear group (~15cm max). The gear must be metal to avoid wearing out. The motorgear must drive a jackscrew (how would I install a jackscrew on the motor pin?) and the jackscrew must rotate at around 120rpm lifting a load of around 50kg... ah, the powersupply is 12V, (car battery)... can you point me to some supplier for this type of applications? Thanks in advance!

hey guys awesome video! what gage wire would you recomend adding to the wiper motors?
@DanielSimu3 күн бұрын
I go by whatever is already on the motors originally, or thicker.

I bought a wiper motor for a ATV to use in a rocking chair prop. The motor came with a 90 degree sweep back and forth not a circular motion. Can this be changed?
@DanielSimu8 күн бұрын
Those are typically wiper motors for the rear wiper of a car. You can open the gearbox and see if you find a way to connect directly to the wormgear output shaft but this is not easy.. Good luck!

You can buy 3 hole nuts and 2 hole nuts to make it easier to assemble. End fasteners are very strong as long as you don't hand tighten them. They make small wings that go around the extrusion and help it hold its position. 8020 calls them end fastener wings.

Either by using Pure Data as a VST (google plugdata), or by applying your Pure Data logic to Max MSP

superbly implemented, not quite as relevant for a frame construction, but there would be a small metal plate (connector set) in between which makes the connection twist-proof as well
@DanielSimuАй бұрын
Yes, those plates solve that problem! The manufacturer of my extrusion doesn't have one for 2020, but for 3030 and 4040 they seem great :)
