this is my favourite far cry game and most of these points are indeed valid, just the only problem I have is with the .45/70, it has a slow fire rate, mediocre damage and a slow reload, the ARC, BP-2 and M16, despite all having the same if not similar stats, are better. also the Tazer Spazer Annihilazer is a solid contender due to it's high damage, and ability to take down any vehicles or enemies in a short burst

Good for her, wish my mother would've done this a lot more for me. Video games aren't a hobby nor a passion they're an addiction and the companies that make them are just as evil as big tobacco if not more, at least with big tobacco you're spending your money on a real product. Yall need to get a life and move on from them, truth hurts but video games aren't going to pay your bills nor get you laid.

Witcher 3, I was absorbed in that game for over 400 hours straight. The side quests were just as engaging as the main quest so I never felt reputation & played the gwent card game even after I got every card just for the heck of it. Had not played one that keep me that engaged before. Sorry Fallout & Skyrim fans, I call it like I see it.

He passed on Gears of War and Halo too! With those 2 franchises and how deep the lore is in both worlds why aren’t they churning out games every year! But no we get a new Halo or Gears every 5 years. They could make spin offs and even different genres I just don’t get it!

I started my FF journey with VIII, then VII, then X + X2, finally XIV. VIII will forever have a special place in my heart, but XIV is at the moment my all time favorite game... I do not agree with XIII as a starter FF... XIII shouldn't even be on this list at all. But hey everyone has their own opinion, yes?

I dont get the point of this video? Are u saying PS5 has no games because the titles later go to PC? Because thats a dense way of looking at things. Its no secret that PS is now launching games on PC infact Sony announced PC as apart of their sales strategy, so mentioning PC after every game as a subtle jab is stupid. I & many others only play on console so for us it doesnt matter if the games hit pc a year or so later, its not 2009 anymore, if theres opportunity to make money on the non competing PC platform why not?

Depends on what you’re looking for, but for my recommended jumping off points: III: The first of the really great FF games. It’s simple, but it really made the job system stand out. The story isn’t particularly good, but as an introduction to what the series would end up becoming, I don’t think you can go wrong with it. VI: Excellent all round, arguably the best story in the series. VII: It’s where I started, and it’s my favourite game of all time. Not gonna say it’s beginner friendly for sure, but if I could get a handle on it at 10 years old, I’m sure it can’t be that bad. IX: Ideal. Great story, still ATB combat, the return of jobs (to an extent), amazing characters and felt like one of the older games but with (really good for the time) PS1 graphics. Remastered version is just as good. X: You’ve pretty much got that one right. Not much point starting with anything later. These ones are key to getting what the series really is (or was if you’re a bit more cynical)

What the hell is this list? XIII as a starter? No! What's wrong with you? And then you mention all modern titles. About the only one I agreed with you on as a good starting point was FFX and that's only because of it's accessibility compared to some games like FFVIII (even though I think VIII is a better FF game overall. Don't get me wrong, I do like X, I just think VIII had a better story). But the best one to start on in my opinion, is FFIX. FF9 is by far the best balance between an easy to learn combat system, great story with some of the best pacing in the series and easily the most charming characters and world of the entire series in my opinion. I mean that compared to the maturity, more realistic tone and subject matter of the other games. Plus it's ease of access (not so old as to put off pixel snobs, and while not being new, modern enough for most to be able to pick up and play while still looking great, especially with Moguri mod). I just don't get this list. It feels you only picked from the most recent and flashy releases in the franchise, without actually considering what makes a good FF game, let alone the "best" FF game to "start" on. XIII - No, just No! Are you out of your mind? This game has one of the worst introductions in the entire series. Never have a hated characters so much at the start of a game, but I will say this. XIII has some of the best character development in the series. And the world is interesting too, but the way this game to chose present it, with virtually everything you needed to understand the world around you being buried in a codex, was just awful jarring and resulted in playing countless hours in game screaming "what the hell is going on?", not the game....you! Worst introduction to a FF game. And the Codex, while not a bad idea (Mass Effect uses a Codex to great effect). But the mistake FFXIII made that Mass Effect didn't was FFXIII made you read a huge codex just to understand the world you were in. Mass Effect made sure you understood the world you were in without the Codex, but used the Codex for additional lore that fleshed out the world more. It was optional in Mass Effect. In FFXIII is was pretty much required and you were still left confused afterward most of the time. There is a good game buried in FFXIII, but you really have to dig it out to find it. Not a game I would recommend to a "first timer". Not by a long shot. FF7 Remake - No (Start with the original so you can understand the contextual changes and misalignments in the Remake... Remake is NOT a "remake" of the original.. It's a sequel.. A Rewrite) FF7 - Yes, great game. Not my favorite, but still very good. This one actually was my first Final Fantasy game. Pretty easy to pick up and play and the tutorials are good enough. While not my personal pick for best game to start on, it is a good one. XVI - I haven't played it yet, so I'm not going to give an opinion on something I haven't tried yet. But I would hardly call a game that changes to an entirely different genre to be considered a good "starting point" for FF games. The only thing this game shares with it's contemporaries is the name Final Fantasy and some in game items. But that's about it. So telling people to "start" with FFXVI is telling them to start the series with a game that is so unbelievably not representative of the series, it boggles the mind why anyone would recommend anyone start here. Another boneheaded recommendation. FFVI - Yes, masterful game. Really good. Don't know if I would recommend it as the one to play for a first timer. FFX - Sure. Great game. Starting combat tutorials are some of the best in the series. Really good story. Sphere grid can be daunting for first timers not familiar with the basics of RPGs. With that said, the rest of the introduction is so good and accessible this is my second choice for recommendations for first timers. FFVIII - Fantastic game with one of the best and most complex stories in the series. Not really a good game for first timers. The junctioning system while easy to break is really confusing to a first timer. And the drawing mechanic can be tedious and off-putting to some just learning the game but often not understanding why they are doing the things they do. Not a good game for a first timer. FFIX - By far my favorite and easily my top recommendation for first timers. Especially with the Moguri mod which AI upscales the backgrounds, improves the audio and opens the resolutions to allow both widescreen and ultrawide presentations. I just recommend playing a 60FPS. 90 and 120fps options tend to cause game crashes at disc transitions. So it may be old, but it feels modern enough. Will play on just about any computer these days. And for all the reasons I mentioned above. FFXII - No. It's not a bad game, but honestly the character development was very poor compared to other entries. The lore of the world is great, but the story of this game was...meh. The gameplay was ok. And the music was...just not my thing and just not to the level of the previous games. XII doesn't rate highly on list of favorites although I will admit that the Zodiac Age update and rebalance improved the game immensely from the original version. But still, there are much better FF games to start with. FFXV - No, not really. Interesting world. A little too much "bro". Fights were fun, but a bit repetitive. World was beautiful. The most open world they had done in a long time, which was a positive, but the side quests were mostly just inane filler with get-fetch structures. Became robotic after awhile where you would just around the map, find quest items on route, then turn them all in once you found the mission giver for the items you already found in a lot of cases. The world was dense, but most of it was mundane forget it almost as soon as you complete it. So no, this is not in my list of games I would recommend for a first timer.

13 and 6 are questionable as to which ff game to start with. My personal picks would be final fantasy x, final fantasy vii remake + rebirth, and final fantasy xvi

It amazed me when I first found out that many didn't know Final Fantasy games are standalone titles (unless it has a 2 after a roman number and one of those exceptions) Square Enix may need to consider that for future releases.
