Its boring everywhere if you are not willing to go out and do something.I will probably like this area I like layback and walk on the beach .We gonna start to stay at Punta Gorda first and see if we like it,so tired of Missouri winter brrrrrrr.

Does Englewood city has a minimum house size that need to be built? Like Northport has 1600 sf. Port charlotte does not have it. How about Englewood. Nice village looking area.

Your statement that "Venice is dog friendly" is simply not true. Yes, there is one dog beach, some dogs walking on leashes around town, and perhaps a "bowl of ice" here and there, but if you want to purchase a home in Venice that your dogs will also enjoy, you are out of luck unless you want to live in an unincorporated area. I can tell you that we have been actively looking for a year and a half to find a home in a decent area with an HOA that allows fences. We have had no success. This has felt discriminatory and has soured us on Venice. Dogs are family members, and they should be allowed to run free in their yards while remaining safe by installing an effective, reasonably sized, attractive fence.

We know of quite a few HOA neighborhoods that allow fences in Venice, and actually live in one. There are a fair amount that don't allow them, but there's definitely quite a few out there that do.

We decided today that we want to move to venice. We have 3 kids, 2 girls 15,16 and a son 10. Our goal is to move summer of 2028 when our girls are 18. They have been talking non stop about wanting to move to Florida when they are 18, we realized that we can all go! First we want to visit and spend a good solid week exploring. The thought of moving all the way from Washington state to Florida is a bit overwhelming lol

There may have been red tide at the time. Usually that happens from after a hurricane.

Um you do realize that Florida is going to have a crash in real-estate. With the cost of insurance and high taxes people can't afford a new home. People are having a hard time just to pay their bills. Lots of places have alot of unsold homes and many are having people who are in foreclosure.

There are none, realtors are trying to save their own skins. Florida is at least %50 over inflated and is going to crash hard. If you want real prices look at what the property sold for in 2019

They’ve been calling for a crash for over 8 years now. It’s not going to happen. Prices will go down some, but it’s insane to think you’ll get a house for 40% to 50% off with all the pinned up demand and people like myself sitting on a 2.5 interest rate. Explain to me how I’m going to loose my house? I’ll loose my house and then what? I still have to live somewhere. Loose my house and then pay more in rent. Yea right 😂😂
