It’s tough to pick just one, but I’d probably have to go with season 8 which aired in 04’. Love the show in general, but that’s the season they truly took things to another level. So many classic episodes just check the list. From 8-14 they were on fire

Season 7 is my personal favorite overall. Feel it has the most consistent quality of episodes in each one. Also side note...smoke a bit an listen to the commentary of each seasons

@@stay.night1 it’s definitely not their best but it’s not as bad as you’re making it out to be. saying you need to get to the “good shit” as if it’s anime or something with arcs. that type of mindset will ruin any show for you if you can’t just enjoy it for what it is. season 2 is boring at worst.

The first 5 seasons are the best hands down. The randomness and jokes are my favorite. The newer seasons when it turned into one long story is when it went down hill. Still a great show, but take me back to random episodes that make zero sense lol.

You could put every season of South park from 1-11 in front of me and I'd watch them all and enjoy them too but beyond that it's too much of an ask. (1997-2007)

The problem with the more recent seasons is the increased continuity, which prevents individual epidsodes from standing out. With the older seasons I was thinking more in episodes, like the warcraft episodes or the easter episode and with the newer seasons it's more like the election season, the troll trace season or the tegrity farms season and the individual episodes are much less memorable. However, after looking through those more recent seasons again, I realized that there are some really great episodes in there but in the context of the full season they just didn't stand out that much. When I watched those later seasons when they first came out, I felt pretty disappointed, because sometimes they carried a joke through so many episodes that I got tired of it, but when I just watch a random episode today and it happens to be one of the later season, I actually really enjoy most of them.

What’s your favorite season? Mine is season 5 because almost every episode hit it out of the park and it was simply amazing. Especially with the characters they introduced who are still here like Jimmy and Towelie, and that “Scott Tenorman Must Die” is the highest ranked episode on IMDb and one of my favorites. My favorite episode from that season is “Kenny Dies” because it took a complete twist to find out that Kenny dies permanently and the characters take it seriously. I’d say the weakest episodes were How To Eat With Your Butt and “Terrance and Phillip: Behind the Blow”. Otherwise, amazing season. TL;DR: Season 5 is amazing with the exception of two episodes. That went way longer than expected

Yeah that season is bad, the only episodes I can say I really enjoyed off of there is Merry Christmas Charlie's Manson, clubhouses, spookyfish, and Cartman's mom is still a dirty slut. That's it.
