Thanks for trying to do the right thing re: those dogs, Jason. I, too, am disturbed by what I think happened. Some people are just too cheap or lazy to put their pets down properly. I know you care, and that's one of the reasons I like your vlogs. God bless you and your lovely family.

the only thing i see right away is that sort of isolated pipe thing normaly used for shower extraction fans, but that itself is a problem as all the wire ridges will restrict air flow turbulance within the pipe you should be using some of the type of ducting such as a short piece comes with the kit of the heater that itself is a kind of mickey mouse copy of webasto ducting pipes found in boats and rvs but there is also a problem with using the pipe from webasto in that its not isolalated and then the distance from the heater if you are trying it in freezing weather most of the heat will be gone before it enters the house but so the webasto pipe is the best to get the heat there but with the run from the heater you should fit 1m or 2m of isolation socks also made by webasto and the whole idea is you isolate the webasto incoming pipe from the heater some of this stuff is expensive so a 1m isolation starting from the heater even if it does not cover the whole pipe is probably ok because the heated air is hotter at the output of the heater so most heat loss occurs at the start of the pipe.

I just stumbled on to your channel. Your story and the work you have done is nothing short of amazing. Do you have any tips on navigating Oregon’s restrictive and overreaching building codes and zoning?

The damned things are a devil in a box . Buy a couple because " if you really need it , buy two " I have purchased three so far . I have heated for three years using them . Remember , circulation is important use fans to lift and mix the cold air down at floor level , and draw return air from inside the yurt . There are ways to install thermostatic control I have done it using two thermostats and it work well with only one quirk .

Beautiful scenery. Those planes filling up with lake water remind me of a scene from the movie Always. It's good to enjoy some down time with your family. The videos will happen when they happen.

August 12th and you havent got your wood for the upcoming heating season yet ! - Yep you're going to be a busy bee. When I was up in the mountains myself and a couple neighbours made it a habit to get out on to the logging roads in June and gather all the wood for the upcoming heating season. Good times, as they say many hands make light work.

I am really sorry your mother passed away. I lost my mother when I was only 18 years old. My Mother Alice Katie Pike-Chipman died at the age of 51. She died as the result of her third heart attack. I saw her die in a hospital. I cried really hard! August 25th 1991 was the saddest day of my life.

I live in your same general area. It is extremely difficult to find a property out of the reach of governmental regulations ... where you can establish the homestead like you have. Nice property!
