So back in 2004, Microsoft had released Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP 64-Bit Edition. I had been running Server 2003 as a desktop OS because it ran faster than XP. I had discovered that Windows XP 64-Bit had the same build string as Windows Server ( 5.2.3790 ) and decided that I wanted to create a version of Windows XP that was based on the Server 2003 32-Bit code and I had a major breakthrough when Windows Server 2003 SP1 came out. I was able to modify the Windows Server 2003 setup to look and run like it would for Windows XP incorporating all the 32-bit registry hives but using Server 2003 with SP1's binaries. The whole thing would install but run into complications towards the end of installation and then fail. Ironically there did exist a version of Windows XP 32-Bit that was compiled from the Server 2003 codebase, but it was never released. Because of major security issues at the time, XP was heavily modified for SP2 as was Windows Server 2003 with SP1, it was no longer relevant if the Service Pack updates were not able to be included.

@@isitworthit2912 I think there wouldn't be that much different between Windows 7 and 10, and Windows Vista and 11. We would see almost the same results.

Windows might still be able to boot, but you wouldn't have a shell (explorer is the shell) which makes it not very usable. Any app that needs explorer will break.

Regedit export/import doesn't cover the security permissions of particular sections of the registry. It's not a full export/import. Certified Windows Registry guru here. Edit: Also, importing over an existing registry does not delete any supposedly defunct/obsolete values, it only overwrites whatever, sometimes leaving old values in place.

I'm actually showing the aero lite theme, but I have to admit that you can't compare aero lite to the real aero which I realize by the time I got more experienced in tech, I didn't meant to make a misleading video like this. This was one of my first videos, it's a really bad video and I changed my channel a lot since this video. The videos also changed a lot, they are more accurate and show correct information.
