I had no idea this existed until a few minutes ago when I was streaming some songs from the "Eclectic" album. The last name caught my eye at the last moment over in the recommendations, so I had to check it out. I am just about rolling on the floor. It is not just who this is and the song being sung. It's not just slowed down, but has its own completely different interpretation. Then, finger picking the iconic instrumental breaks in a manner that would make Jorma Kaukonen of Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna proud? Wow...just wow. I'm checking out some other songs now, both originals and covers. The apple sure didn't fall far from the tree of talent.

A wonderful version of an absolutely underrated song. Together with the legendary "Porrohman" this song is to me the best final song of any Big Country album. How it breaks out of its folk song pattern in the second part - unforgettable and also very well intepreted here by Stuarts daugher. Stay alive!

Last November I lost an old school friend who committed suicide. The day I learned this very sad news I was invited to a jam session in a restaurant. It was the first time in my life that I dared to take a guitar in my hands in front of an audience and played this very song. It still moves me to tears - also in this wonderful and touching version here. Thank you Kirsten for all these great new interpretations of your father's timeless songs!

What a great version of an absolute classic! I was 10 years old when my elder brother bought the record "The Seer". I loved it from the very beginning and since that time Big Country belongs to my lifetime favourite bands. I am glad that I could see BC in the 90s several time with Stuart Adamson as a young adult. I've seen them again with Mike Peters and in their current lineup. "The Seer" is to me still the 2nd best album after the alltime masterpiece "The Crossing". This title track is one of the reasons for this high appreciation. I've always liked the background singing of Kate Bush.

Great and emotional song which I can identify with as my Dad was a songwriter and like yourself have carried on the family tradition. Keeping the Adamson name alive.

I am a single father of a 16 year old girl. And a dad who is struggling too. With things that Stuart Adamson struggled with and feeling very much the same things he felt. Hearing this and seeing the heart of it. Helps. Somehow it helps.

Great version of an absolut underrated song! In my eyes the later albums of Big Country have always been not valued enough. Especially "Buffalo Skinners" and "Driving To Damascus" are masterpieces in my eyes and also "Why The Long Face" has many highlights. I appreciate that the original band members Bruce Watson and Mark Brzezicki (incl. son Jamie) and their fellow musicians keep the band alive but I would welcome it to see them play more of the 90s songs as I have seen the (naturally timeless brilliant) classics of "The Crossing" and its successors many, many times live but not songs like Pink Marshmallow Moon...

Hi Kirsten about 500 singers would offer to duet with you. I'd be one. For the last 2 weeks this song has been in my head. I'm from Edinburgh and Stuart's accent is same as mne. Thank you. This song and the rest of steeltown saved me in 80s when all the coal and steel was closing. I'd love to say your father did not know me and my struggles. But he did. Methil yard, undersea coal closures. A real man of the people xxx

Your dad gave me the ultimate message of hope today, I was born in Glasgow but live in England now. Your dad told me where I need to go and what I need to do to with my music but more with my life story thus far. Born in 88 so it was very odd your dads song came on after - Metallica? My dad also died in 2001 of cancer when I was 13. But this is not my message, don’t want money or fame, just to use my time and not die with regrets
