I saw them in 1965. I was expecting a soft-rock kind of thing, and they came out like this. And they were loud! I was blown away and have been a devoted fan ever since.

Does anyone know what kind of amp Zally is playing out of? I'm guessing a Standel but I'm not sure.

Love you guys but Billy too much on the clutch, can barely make out the riff. I saw these guys at Winterland S. F. '70's with Johnny Winter and they were the loudest 3 piece I've ever seen, hallelujah!

This song and The Spoonful always bring me much joy. Hard to believe this was 1965. Those of us who came of age in the 60s witnessed a period of music-making that I feel may never happen at least in our lives again. Every month there was something never heard before being released. Hit album after hit album by so many different groups.

The comedy gold of it all is how EVERY musical instinct Murray Wilson has doesn’t just slightly miss the sweet spot, they ALL miss so far off NASA scientists needed to create a new set of galactic units to measure. Even more hilarious is how ALL his instincts are so cartoonishly the opposite of what makes music nice to listen to… the absurdity is on a Dewey Cox: Walk Hard level

Top wankah passing on the beatings from his own old man to his own. But u could argue that if it wasn’t for the child trauma the talent never would’ve occurred in Brian. I think MOST talented celebrities were massively traumatised as kids. What arts are we gonna have when the snowflake agenda really takes a hold and every single person is all love and forgiveness? There’ll be zero tv to watch or music to listen to
