Oh, Linda. I am so touched that you would forgo extra zzzzz’s to check out the latest on the channel. It’s odd how much fun I am having decorating this little cottage. I hope I have time to implement my ideas in the first phase before I have to list it. All of the major pieces of furniture and lighting have to be assembled…even the sofa, and there’s only me on this duty. So now that the painting is done, I can clean the floors and lay down the rugs. The next tenant who moves in will hopefully feel how much love and care was put into the space. Good luck with payroll today. Have a great week, and thank you from the bottom of my heart for always “saying” the right things when I needed the lift the most. See you for the next episode.

@@lindawynell Hi Linda! That color is called October Mist by Benjamin Moore. I honestly can say that the camera does not do the color justice. @@NutshellLivingI am “tickled pink”, as the older Floridians say, that you thought of me when filming the guava. I have been curious about guavas since you first filmed the tree growing through the hole in the center of the table. I love the leaves…the color, shape & even how they grow on the tree. They will not thrive in north FL where I live. I have read a bit on them. Air-layering propagation is preferred & most commercially sold plants are started that way, take up to 3 years to produce fruit, are tolerant to short droughts (which can cause the tree to actually produce buds-go figure😮) & they don’t like to be flooded for too long. Flooding/over watering can cause buds to drop & a plethora of other issues. They require pruning as they mature if grown for fruit production. They are best kept between 6-10 feet tall if raised for fruit bearing. I’m getting too wordy & probably sharing what you already know but seriously, it’s an amazing plant with fascinating “personality” quirks. My orchid is still in bloom, my avocado isn’t too happy since putting it in a pot. I’m going to move it to a sunnier location. I’m researching my next DIY…Somehow resurfacing my kitchen countertops until I can afford to replace them. I have figured out how to paint the “fake wood” cabinets. I have the wallpaper, backsplash tiles, cabinet/drawer pulls & a gorgeous faucet (knobs/faucet found on Marketplace. Thank you for that tip). I’d love to start the new year with a fresh look in my brown & dated,in a bad way, kitchen. So you can believe I’ll be watching your new cottage redo & rewatching older videos for more tips/ideas. 😊

I only planted a few months ago so I should be patient. The tree itself is so pretty, and it definitely looks like it’s thriving. My more mature pink guava tree behind and to the left of the table is full of guava fruit buds. I want to do a demo on how to make a guava strawberry jam. Today my friend, Joe the contractor, is coming to replace the kitchen sink. He said he can get the old one out without disturbing the surrounding vintage tiles. He’s the only one I trust. He doesn’t like to be on camera, but I’ll try and convince him. See you at the next episode!❤
