You can find most translation patches at romhacking dot net. This one has been updated with bugfixes, so I recommend getting that version.

Because that is it's name in the original translation you all have been spoiled by the Western localized version too much. Also Naga/Narga is not masculine or feminine it has come in many different forms over the centuries it just chose the form of a woman in Awakening.

Early translations did some weird shit like this. The video is 10 years old so that would be why The original text says ナーガ, which can only be read as "Naaga" (the double a just indicates that you extend the duration of the vowel). The Project Naga translation writes the name of the tome correctly as "Naga". Also, I have no idea what the other guy is going on about being spoiled xdd You don't need to know a whole lot of Japanese to know that the katakana ナーガ has a single reading and that there's nothing resembling an r sound anywhere in it. It's weird that early translations wrote is as "Narga" in the first place. There's also no Western localization either, so he's wrong on that account. Project Naga is a good translation patch but it's not an official localization. To this day, it's one of the few remaining games to have no localization and no localized remake (FE5, FE6 and FE2 Book 2 / FE12 are the only other ones).

Yes, it is possible, but a lot depends on luck and rng. In my playthrough earth dragon could one-shot Feena with a 40% chance + a lot depends on the dragon reinforcements and the crit chances of Mars and Tiki vs Medeus. In any case, even with a well-thought-out strategy and luck, saving the sisters and killing the medeus will take at least two turns without Again staff.

I hope the others will follow someday, but it’s a big ask :)

@@FrogishBird Well, you'd need an English script. They can't just reuse the scripts from the remakes because those are considerably longer and wouldn't fit in the screen space - and cartridge space - available in the older games. Cartridge space still matters because Nintendo's VC rereleases are basically the original game plus a custom emulator; they still have to obey the "rules" the original games did.

@@rdrrr Not necessarily, in the case of the very FE1 rerelease mentioned they use a Lua script to dynamically display the translation and variable width font into the game, and so there is no actual English translation in their ROM.

@@Flametix Interesting that it doesn't use Shadow Dragon's punched up English script, then. It has its own, drier translation.

Shadow Dragon & The Blade of Light

I kinda agree. I much prefer this Holy War to the remake's holy war, and especially to the Forbidden Sanctuary. Feels a bit too quite. I have to admit, I didn't see the point of the earth dragons, since they disappear with the shield, but the way they can get pot shots in is pretty neat. The remake doesn't give them the chance (maybe on higher difficulties??) And yes, Medeus being so big you can barely see his form is much more intimidating than his remake model.

Personally I think part of the fun is how goofy they are on emulator

Emulators can sometimes have trouble emulating sound. St. Alicia in Live a Live as well as Lavos's Roar in Chrono Trigger are some good examples.

Julius died when Manfloy let Julius touch Loptr's book. Loptr basically trown out Julius's soul out of is body to use it. The one bitching about Julia in the last fight is actually Loptr himself.

Scuttlest Well, Doma, or Duma, as he is called in the remake, is supposed to resemble an old, rotting Zombie-Dragon. And for good reason: At this point in the game, Duma has become mad with age and power, corrupting all of Rigel to betray Mila and claim all of Valentia for himself. The remake actually goes further in depth with his origins. He and Mila are Manikettes (Dragons that can shapeshift into humans, and vice versa) that once lived in the Dragon Kingdom mentioned in FE1, until he nearly pushed the society into civil war with his ideology, leading him to be banished to Valentia. So, yeah. Duma's supposed to resemble a Dragon, which is shown more clearly in the remake.

Crystallized Silver well let's see. Slimy, check. Giant, check. Exposed flesh, check. Giant eye with just as giant pupil, check. Scary as hell music, check. Disturbing tentacles, check. Everything else, check. Conclusion: TERRIFYING!

Why is everyone saying that? I've beaten the game without it just fine.

It can be tedious at times but it is certainly possible. The game does throw you some strong characters which make certain portions of the game a breeze (Mathilda, Zeke and Mycen on Alm's side and Valbo, the Pegasus trio and Deen on Celica's side). Not to mention that thanks to Alm's solo-portion in Chapter 5 he'll almost always be level 20 by the time of the final battle, so he will carry the group mostly by this point. In this run I played on easy mode, but a few months later I finished the game, without grinding, on normal mode as well. By then I knew the characters better and was able to play more efficiently.

I made this post almost a year ago when I was still new to this game. I've watched a lot of 0% growth LTC runs and know it's possible without grinding.

He HAS to kill Doma actually. Doma's scripted so that once he reaches 52 health, only the Falchion will damage him. And only Alm can wield the Falchion. Kinda bullshit if you ask me.

Just in Japan. Sure, this game is Japan only, but I think using established English names is not a problem.

And in the remake, as an homage to the glitch, Nosferatu is now intentionally designed to be effective vs. Duma

Emulator, now that Nintendo removed it. FCEUX is nice.
