Not sure why there's a headboard that's covered by giant pillows that do not accent it. Great video
@TheFiown2 жыл бұрын
When you nail like this you first could put a nail on each end and before banging it totally in you stretch a piece of string from one end to the other as a guide for the row of nails. For a curve it's best to make a carboard template and nail against the edge. Best wishes

Good idea to buy an electric stapler, they don't cost much and boy do they save from blisters on big projects.

I made 2 padded panels for our sleigh bed. I had saved my outdoor cushions that I had to replace because they were old and faded. I know how expensive foam can be.

How did you attach the headboard to the bed ?
@tiffanymayerdesigns3 жыл бұрын
It wasn’t attached to the bed itself. The bed frame was just up against the wall.
@deelee10703 жыл бұрын
@@tiffanymayerdesigns oh no...that won't work because it'll keep shifting. i need to attach it.

You can extend 1x2’s down the wall under the headboard and screw into them through the bed frame to attach it.

I really think they could have squeezed at the very least a 4 size, color and style tile in the main bath or even a 5th. There are definitely some whack-a-doodle things going on in this house! I would say they lost well over half the viable customers not to mention how much more they could have gotten for the house had they done little things like white tile painting that bathroom and at the very least white primer on all that dark dark dark panel that existed in already dark spaces. Definitely a 70s era basement. On my what a mess
@tiffanymayerdesigns4 жыл бұрын
Yes! The previous owners were an older couple and I think just wanted to be done with it. Good news is that the family moving in got a great price on it and now we can take all the mess that others were afraid of and make it a stellar house for them! Definitely a fixer upper; but aren't those the best kinds! ;) Thanks for the comment and hope you subscribe to follow along as we finish the renovation!
@tracymclaughlinholmes6774 жыл бұрын
The house certainly has good bones. You can tell it was loved. I didn't see sketchy electrical outlets or a ton of deferred maintenance. Even the new master area looked as if used to be inhabitable. I was trying to see if I could tell if there was once anything attached to the studs that would have made it am enclosed room. I thought I saw evidence of that. I definitely will be following. I kept thinking with the lods of garage l garage space it would be neat to see that changed into a private screened room accessable from the master. I've come across those inserts that install a screened frame in the garage door area that still let's you leave the garage door in operating order and I've kinda become enthralled by the thought of them. Lol. Can't wait to see the end result!
@tiffanymayerdesigns4 жыл бұрын
Yes it is a great house. So much potential that we hope to fulfill on this project. That’s a cool idea about the garage but the kids would probably be bummed. They are planning for bikes, work bench, etc.... I like that idea though! Thanks for following!

Dear Tiffany, Approximately how much do you think the materials for the headboard cost?
@tiffanymayerdesigns4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment. Not including fabric because that can range considerably I would say $150-$200 max for all the parts including hanging hardware. Let me know if you make one! I’d love to see it!

It' s a mistake to eliminate the garage. Even if the couple don't use it, it will seriously depreciate the value of the house. Wrong!
@tiffanymayerdesigns4 жыл бұрын
Again, there are no wrong answers when it comes to your home. In our case the family needed a bedroom more than they needed to park the car....When you plan to stay in a home for many years and enjoy the way you live in it; depreciation is not as imperative when making choices that will give you a better quality of life now. Thanks for your comment. Keep it positive. :)

Every home is unique to the person living in it. In our case opening up those walls will allow the family to stay connected and never underestimate a good kitchen vent. Thanks for your comment!
