Make Your Own Custom Radiator Cover with TMD

This is a how-to video showing how to create a custom radiator cover.

Apart from the design pattern for the front grill, which is lovely, everything about this project is wrong. There is zero air flow over the rad surface and no way for any heat to convect into the room. A gap of 3 inches between the floor and the base of the grill is required to draw cool air in at the bottom of the cabinet and another between the top of the grill and the base of the lid

Thanks! We just used standard butt joints so the front didn't show any joints. We then just filled the nail holes and sanded them before painting.

I left the side panel near the mechanicals just pinned. This way I can pop the side off for the bleed. I control the temperature at a main thermostat so I only need to get at it once a year. Thanks for watching.

Looks great, but doesn´t this simply insulate the radiator thermically from the room? I guess basically it gets hot inside the "box" and only some heat escapes through the holes inside the design. The rest of the heat is somehow "trapped"

How do you change the temperature and bleed it once a year if its all nailed together?

Always use a facemask when working with mdf it is highly dangerous to breath in the dust.
