My mom had this car, blue exterior with dark blue seats with light blue dots. It was her first car ever. She used to drive me everywhere in that car. To school, cross country trips, to the village, moving from city to city, etc. Even when she crashed it on a dirt road into a tree, the thing drove off... on its own... with a cracked block. Toughest car I know. I promised myself I'd own one too in memory of her old one.

At about 300000 km only changed the water pump. Even the likes of the F30 320i get embarrassed by this thing love it!

I have the 1.2L Petrol Engine of the Ford figo of 2010 in India. It still runs like a champ though its 15 yrs old. The Green colour is too appealing. Everything in the car was perfect upto the core. Truly a drivers car indeed. In 160 kmph, It's so stable and I still have the control of my car.

@chefhemana6268 I was getting 16kmpl on 1.2l petrol duratec engine in Chennai due to sedate driving. And 20kmpl in highway. Check for fuel injectors and fuel sensors for carbon deposit. If there's a carbon deposit on injectors, get a WD-40 can spray and spray on carbon deposits. It will remove those deposits and increase mileage. It depends on driving style as a whole. If you're excited then mileage can drop to 12kmpl in city and 18kmpl in highway @4000 rpm.

If the vehicle has been well maintained, it should be okay. But I would always advise that you have it checked out by a professional before you purchase it.

The V6 has sold very well, and truth is, it's proven to be very reliable. I worked closely with a Ford dealer for the past few years, and there are alot of V6 Rangers going strong without a single complaint. Even the practical layout of everything. And just build quality in general... It's miles ahead of anything else for the same money.

They are doing surprisingly well in terms of sales, but the current hilux is old and outdated for sure. It is however still an excellent product 🏆

The Discovery V6 was very unreliable to modern standards. Hopefully fixed with this tune. And then one just has to search the internet, to find issues on these already. They drive well, best looking, but it's European and the Japanese are still streets ahead in reliability.

That’s true, the problem with most modern cars are that it is a high risk to drive them out of there warranty period. Having a good warranty in place is almost a must. Having said that, Toyota has to bring out an all new Hilux soon, their loyal base absolutely deserves it. Thank you for the comment 🏆

@mycarnow is the Amarok and Ranger not the "same" vehicle, from the same manufacturing lines? I want to buy the top spec of the Amarok or Ranger, but not the fuel thieve. I had a Amarok for a test for two days. Impressive!!!! Is the Ranger a better option? Thanks.
