I enjoy post-apocalyptic fiction and like you I wondered why people enjoy it. I don't know the actual reason but for me I think it's due to a few reasons. One it's a simplification of any story. If you eliminate most of the human race it's like putting characters on a deserted island. You have maybe five or six characters to deal with rather than the whole human race. Also I think it has something to do with our very complex lives these days and how if you eliminated the human race and all of its technology to the point where it's only a few people surviving it becomes simpler, with less things like phone calls, internet, breaking news propaganda, relationships from business to personal and everything in between. Your simplifying life to the bare necessities of survival rather than what we've become with technology and things like social media, etc. But I know this type of fiction has always had a following so I know that there's more to it than that.

Currently working in An NHS environment. I needed to braze a pipe to seal it. An NHS manager said we couldnt do it cos "He" doesnt like hot works.... I dont like his waist jacket but I still let him wear it. This is how petty it is. Privatise the NHS and give them targets to meet, we might see things start to move then.

The NHS spends so much that it could save at every single level. 1) Overpaid upper management 2) Many units do not have any cost saving measures (e.g. we know putting the prices on items in the store rooms increases respect for saving money, using dressing traffic light settings etc, when I worked ITU I was shocked at the wastage; one night they removed all the NOT FULL sharpes bins and replaced them with fresh ones because a health and safety inspection was the next day. That's literally thousands pissed down teh drain. I could go on and on. (why are we paying two nurses to take a patient out of a unit, when a nurse and a porter saves thousands per year and frees up a nurse) However, when it comes to drug prescribing you're not correct. Supervising Pharmacists are unsung heroes desperately fighting to give us the best deal, while also providing the medications for our patients. The health and social care bill absolutely fucked this effort, focing basic medication contracts to be retendered on a per organisation basis instead of utilising the national buying power. I think you need to quote some studies re ur chemo comment, which is incredibly broad and frankly I think you're wrong. You are likely looking at success rates, e.g. survive at the 5, and 10 year points. However some conditions simply have only 1 treatment with a smaller % chance of success; and often do have nasty risks and side effects. The choice to pursue that treatment is a discussion between the clinican and patient; and its up to the patient to take the small chance of success if thats all they get; or to prefer comfort.

She's right Like most people in this topic, the people on the comment section are just looking for an easy punching bag to make fun of. I'm sorry but if you've been the same weight your whole life and never been at a situation where you had to loose 30 killos or somethings then you (with all due respect) have absolutely no perspective on the matter. If this were as simple as "eat less move more" then the whole earth population would be looking like a gigachad. Lady is right And Good luck on your fat loss journey.

@@backseatpositivity a diet can be a long term lifestyle change? Dieting should be apart of a healthy lifestyle... choosing the foods we eat is all apart of our "diet". All diets work, if, in your favor with regular exercise. If People gain or dont shift weight they aint doing enough to loose it unfortunatley ( health permitting). Anyway stay postive and keep grinding. Make no excuses and reap what you sow 👌👌👌🥰👊

This type of woman EMBODIES a civilization in its death throes. The British? the Irish? See ya. You will be viewed like the Neanderthals by future generations of humans, precisely because women like this are "childfree".
