Some of these lines don't make much sense but here's my transcription of the lyrics: There must be a season Where I can rest my bones Some would trade their freedom Some would trade their (god?) (Go light?) up the morning There's only (dope?) on the floor (Stinging song?) in the evening Sleep here and (spread out the dawn?) There must be a reason (Nothing won't come staring?) Crashes into winter Passes into winter Take me to your garden Where I can be alone Come (light up?) the (morning?) (dancing?)/(death sat?) down on (your?) floor (Sleep now?) you're starting to feel it Sleep (like you?) spread out the dawn Go light up the morning (Death sat?) down on your floor Sleep like a sun in the evening (Prevent this man from the dawn?) There must be a season Where I can rest my bones Some would trade their freedom Some would trade their god Take me to your garden Where I can be alone Come and light up the morning (Death sat down?) on your floor Sleep like a sun in the evening Stay here and spread out the dawn I'm probably totally wrong but I interpret this song as having multiple meanings. The first (literal) meaning is about taking way too much of something in an unfurnished room and (possibly) extreme end-stage depression. There seems to be a lot of astronomical imagery relating to the changing of the seasons which could be referencing the spring and summer equinoxes. "The equinox" was the title of Aleister Crowley's periodical works and as someone already pointed out, Boleskine manor was a home that Aleister Crowley lived in. An interviewer once asked Dorothia what this song was about and she didn't want to explain other than it definitely meant something personal to her. I wish I could hear what she says after "there must be a reason" in the second stanza.

Her voice is so buried in the music, this is the best I can do: There must be a season Where I can rest my bones Some would trade their freedom Some would trade their gold Chorus: Got light of the morning Then sat down on the floor Sing at the sun in the evening Sleep in despair of the dawn There must be a reason Nothing good can stay Passes into winter Passes into winter Take me to your garden Where I can be alone (chorus)

Saw Tank supporting Motorhead at Hammersmith Odeon in 1980's. Good times. Some Came Running still rates as one of theeee catchiest bass riffs.

I was there too.. Algy cut a dominant figure on the p.a. speakers.. great gig.

Algy, PERFECT voice, but 'metalheads' are deaf cunts. Fuck them, they know nothing about music.

Sounds kind of like Gene Simmons vocals with Motorhead rhythms. No complaints here.

Superb band, superb songs , til it went wonky. No Algy..no tank
Don't know how to really describe the feeling. Try mountain hiking while listening to Windhand. Something about being surrounded by nature while listening to the powerful rawness of Windhand. Bordering on hypnotic is the result. Try it sometime, you'll be glad you did

Tank we're a band like no other. But it's good to see this classic line up with Algy on bass and vocals are in many ways being more respected now than they were almost throughout the entire 80s. This is without doubt the one and only Tank🤘

@@hughzapretti-boyden9187 No respect and no idea about rock. That's your problem. Totally different from MH and Lemmy took them as support on his tour. He knew what's good. Not you. I saw this package live on stage btw. It was great!

This whole album is so heavy.. I happily have this one on vinyl and every time I play it it is truly an experience. Dorthias vocals are absolutely ethereal throughout the entire thing. I ritualistically sacrifice a banana every time.
