This is amazing and something I hope to have built for my start up company. I love being close to home for my two boys but need a studio.. my husband and I are going to check out the legal framework and then hopefully have it constructed in the summer and finished by Sept 2025.

Do you bother vectorising it for screen or do you just have a very high res file?. If so, what’s the DPI? Great work🙏🏽
@ElseweyrАй бұрын
Both but to answer the DPI question - 300 dpi is what I set it to.

Hi, I got a question. When I import my design that’s 3000 x 3000 to my procreate Canva that’s also 3000 x 3000, when I resize the design down so that it gets smaller it tend to get really pixelated and blurry. Any way to fix this? Please and thank you!

I would double check the canvas has the DPI set to 300. Hope that helps!

I use the studio pen 99% of the time for line art and lighting. I've made a few adjustments to it that better fit my hand movement but the default studio pen is great. Thanks for watching.

Been watching and re-watching this video and I still can't figure out how to keep the shadows from going out side the lines I put my color layer has refrence then open a new layer above set to clipping mask and the brush strokes kerp going out of the lines. Can't figure out what I'm doing wtong
@Elseweyr7 ай бұрын
Try this and see if it helps get the principle down. 1. Line Art - Draw a shape on one layer with a basic line art brush. Set that line art layer to a reference. 2. Fill Color - Make a new layer below the line art and drop a color to fill in your shape. 3. Shadow - Make a new layer above the color but below the line art. Make it a clipping mask. Take your brush and paint in a shadow. It shouldn't go outside your fill color or lines. Hope this helps see how to structure the layers to get what you're looking for!

Where do I learn to draw like that, though? I keep looking for tutorials and classes that actually teach the skill of drawing in this specific style, and no one seems to explain that part. I'm willing to put the work in and practice, but those making the tutorials seem to think that just watching them do it will do the trick. But when a person not yet skilled actually sits down to draw, they quickly find it's not that easy.
@Elseweyr9 ай бұрын
I learned by finding examples that I liked then start by tracing them. Then once I understand the shapes and structure, I started to experiment on my own. I recommend finding something physical that you can look at and try turning it into a cartoon. Like a coffee cup or something simple. Part of why I love this style is because it isnt serious. that takes pressure off while making it and puts the focus on having fun and making myself laugh at the results. Hope this helped and thank you for watching!

In the city by the bay, a younger version of me was inspired by street artists spray painting planets. I remember watching them spray a canvas, add a texture with some newspaper, cover it up with a lid and by the end revealing a spectacular planet. When I got home I had such fun learning how to make space art. Recently that spark in me to create space art was lit. Using new tools I picked up where I left off. I put together this video to share that feeling of wonder, relaxation and peace that I feel while making this style art. Hope you enjoy it 🪐 Thanks for watching! - Drew

Awesome work. 2 years later, any insights / issue with the slab foundation?
@Elseweyr Жыл бұрын
The only issue i've had was from a big rain storm, had to reroute my gutters away from the shed. Probably an obvious fact but the floor does get cold so less efficient heating in the winter. In the summer I dig the cool floor. Overall i'm still happy with it. Thanks for watching and the comment!

Ace! What Canvas size do you use for the procreate artwork before sharing it to Adobe?
@Elseweyr Жыл бұрын
For these labels my canvas is 8.5"x6.56. I'll set my canvas to 2x the final print resolution then scale it down in Adobe.
