Love it. Nice to see you working in your natural habitat. The walking bass line and piano makes me think of Corridor of Dreams.

My Dad has been playing guitar for about 20 years or so now. Him and a friend have gotten up the nerve to go play an open mic soon, and he really doesn't think he has the chops. I'll show him this as inspiration.

Tell your old man that it is awesome he’s going out there to do it! Open mic’s are great and you get better the more you do them.

Im hoping for "Factory Boy," and "A Girl With Cars In Her Eyes," but "A Fool Like You" would also satisfy. Someone recently uploaded tabs for "Summer in a Small Town," i'll try to decipher that soon.

Hey Martin, big fan, have listened to hours of your music in a row, also love the Oddcaste! There is an album from 1967, Idiosyncratics and Swallows Wings, by Jeremy Harmer, which I think you might like. It is readily available on KZbin to listen to. Hope you are as well as ever, keep doing what you are doing!!

I just realised that "Mercury Girl" is the sister of the girl that has flown in "Norwegian Wood". Two great songs I will always treasure. Chapeau, Mr. Newell! One of the best Cleaners-Songs evah!

First “Cleaners From Venus” song I heard on an iTunes playlist. I was immediately hooked. Upon investigation into the deeper catalog it was over for me. How did this artist escape me for 40 years? I rank Martin with all of the great songwriters in the British pop/rock canon. Yes, including those two. 🙂
@TCarnellF663 ай бұрын
I reckon Martin stands at the top level of pop/rock songwriters. Criminal that he’s not a household name on both sides of the Atlantic.
