Finally, there is a positive video about living in Japan. So many people complain. I know it's not a perfect country, but I want to try it for myself living there for a bit as an English teacher.

I wish I was in Japan. I have no significant other or spouse and no children and 98 percent of my family is dead. It is just me and God and my grocery bill is over 300 American a month. You got all that for less than 100 American.

About animals, even WE " human being" are living in very small accomodation in Japan.... We are lacking flat LAND....

Yeah we went to Shodo yesterday and it was not good. Without a car you are screwed. Was thinking of going to Takamatsu but it looks boring as well. not worth the trip.

Stumbled across this video today. Hope you enjoy living in Takahashi. I had some friends who lived there back in the day while I was in Okayama-shi. My favorite memory is visiting during the Bitchu Takahashi Matsuyama Odori. I'd like to visit again but those summer temps have been crazy the past few years especially if one wants to climb to the castle. Cheers.

Thank you so much! We used a DJI Mavic Mini 2 for the aerials, a Gopro on the bike, and a Sony A6600 for everything else!

We were really disappointed when we realised we'd missed the school gym in Nagoro. We wandered around the village and saw most of the scarecrows... except for the gym. We hope to go back some day and check out the school too. Otherwise, the whole Iya Valley is sensational. The vine bridges were superb. We were actually interviewed by Japanese TV show at the vine bridges. I didn't get to record that interview unfortunately, but the host of the show graciously said hello on camera for my video. 😂 We stayed at a guesthouse across the road from the single Kazurabashi bridge but we didn't end up crossing that bridge and went to the other bridges (near Nagoro) instead. We ran out of time for Mt Tsuragi too. We'll definitely have to go up there next time after seeing your pictures. Nice job with the video!

You get to pick your top three prefectures that you would like to be placed, and sometimes they accommodate to that and other times they don’t at all. Okayama was not on our list at all but we ended up loving it!

That will definitely depend on your placement and living arrangements! Our apartment was quite old and the walls were incredibly thin so although our neighbours were quite quiet we still could hear everything

Very cool; my friend and I will be there in about 12 days; we'll rent a car and just drive. I plan on swimming in the river and I'm sure I'll freeze my peanuts off! We wanna get as far away as possible from any other tourists.
