I recommend Ajinomoto's gyoza in the frozen food section, but you might want to avoid eating them before class because of the garlic used, but it's easy, cheap, and delicious, so give it a try.

My Dad's joke with garlicky food was that if one person ate it, then EVERYONE had to have it! He loved garlic, and no vampires were here in Indiana USA.

Seriously would have never thought that Japan is so much cheaper then Germany in many points. The Lunchboxes are rly cheap, if you buy smth like that in our supermarkets you pay much more. Sushi of course is much cheaper too and way better quality. But what rly gets me the most, the meat is so much cheaper then in Germany. I mean look, for 760g of Chickenbreast you would pay in Germany like 5 to 6 Euros. And dont even start with Fish! Only thing thats more expensive is the Cheese.

We were very suprised by the prices for meat and seafood too! I feel like Canada would be more similar to Germany in that sense, fresh fish and chicken breasts are double the price! 😫

Wow that milk is expensive! We used to buy 2L for about 120 yen (converted from my local currency) before the Rus-ukraine war. Now its about 160Yen. Its understandable tho considering the limited amount of milk japan produces.

@@LifewiththeClements yeah it was really. I think we paid 7-8kr for a liter of milk (Sweden). 10kr is about an American dollar, 12sek almost always a British pound. Now its much higher but considering that everything has gone up in price... It is what it is :)

Many Japanese are lactose intolerant, milk has never been a part of their diet... I'm in Los Angeles I have a lime tree, I can't remember it's a specific type, one or two leaves can make the difference with many things.. it's all about flavoring you discard the leaves..
