"June Announcement Season" is so funny i like how dunkey still called it "E3 2024" lots of cool stuff most of which wont be played LMAO but this time of year is always fun to see everyone talking about GAMEZ that new astro bot game looks cool hopefully comes with the PS5 Pro, the Indiana Jones game on Xbox is also looking neat and faithful to the charm of those movies, that new Mario and Luigi game has a weird artstyle idk if i vibe with it, paper mario is much more distinct, that new zelda game is contentious since they're continuing with the "million different ways to solve a puzzle" idea, but what i think a lot of long time fans forget is that nintendo makes games for children and today's children are not as patient as kids in the 90's who had nothing but time to solve zelda puzzles, with games like minecraft and fortnite that give younger players an infinite amount of choices i feel nintendo's design philosophy towards zelda is very smart and is essentially growing a new audience that will feel nostalgic for the current games in twenty years, and metroid, even tho everyone is saying looks good, LOL it looks like that marvel's avengers game that came out a few years ago that not a lot of people liked. ALSO i had a realization since the xbox studio closures or whatever and how people were reporting how big and bad xbox is for doing it, how youtubers and other media outlets will still report on and comment on the xbox brand, i guess to keep up the paychecks and tug the audience more and more and im kind of sick of that not here with you guys but with other channels who denounce xbox or whatever and act all high and mighty then they go ahead and go crazy over the new announcements like nothing happened idk its kind of lame, "media's" never ending spewing of nonsense and the audience doesn't seem to care as long as they keep having internet videos to watch LOL rant over #nintendowonorwhatever

No way. Xbox show was all killer no filler. Doom, Gears of War, Perfect dark, Fable, MGS 3, State of Decay, Dragon Age, South of Midnight, Indiana Jones, Black Ops, Expedition 33, Life is Strange, Stalker The Nintendo show was a bunch of rereleases, b/c tier first party ip, and a 40 second clip of Metroid. Basically life support for the last year of Switch

I was rooting for Kit for Metroid Prime 4 to be announced. June 2024 is one of the better directs we had since 2021. A mix of old and new stuff. Forget Super Mario Party, we got Jamboree! Zelda being playable is a dream come true. The long delay has paid off and Kit with his happiest face of giving Krysta a pie to the face vs getting all his hair cut off. We also got Stray coming to Nintendo after a couple years later. Hello Kitty and Looney Tunes for the fans. Cheers to the first day of Summer 2024 🥂

I’m glad in jamboree it seems like motion controls and motion controlled mini games will be optional. I think there might be an option to turn them on and off in local play and local wireless. (Not sure if that feature will be in this Mario party.)

Btw, Goldeneye is a T rated game, the N64 app is rated E-T, so it's either have a separate M rated N64 app or change the rating of the main app to E-M.

The Nintendo Direct was amazing! Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake release date announced, and I&II for next year! That and the new 2D Zelda are the only announcements I needed. If the Direct was just these two things, it would still be #1 in my book.

LoZ EoW looks really good. I'm not the biggest LoZ fan but BoTW and ToTK were some of my favorite games on switch. So definitely will pick this new game up once it goes on sale 🤙

Yeah, Nintendo definitely came out swinging with that Direct: it was easily one of the best ones we've had in recent years, and it save Kit from going bald😹 As for what I am playing: I am currently juggling both Sonic Frontiers and Mario Odyssey. I got and played Tropical Freeze on Wii U, and I barely remember it. It was not memorable for me and my feelings on it were "meh, ok I guess". Never picked it up on Switch and was surprised when I started hearing all the love it apparently has.

It's strange when people insist on Nintendo making a game a certain way that's the same as a previous game they've played. For me, it's always been "just make a good game". For instance, I don't care if the next Paper Mario game follows the original formula, and IMO, that wasn't the problem with Paper Mario: The Origami King; it was more that the new fighting mechanics were kind of annoying, and too stressful for a turn-based RPG; that, and the bosses lacked personality.

For Nintendo fans, sure, but for everyone else Xbox won. Evidence of this is the polls from IGN. IGN asked who won and Xbox had a 71% vote while Nintendo only had a 18% vote. Also Geoff Keighley’s poll, Xbox currently holds the record for the highest percentage A from any of his polls.
