I wish I could find a NV3500 for under $200. Good luck with your clutch problem. A good pressure plate is going to cost more than the trans.

Hey man after watching this video I bought this shifter same day lol, but I got the kit off Summit with the precut shaft. I have a T56 in a 99 silverado RCSB and I made the mistake of cutting a hole already for the original shifter, but it went right in the middle of where my center console sits lol. I had no idea these shifters existed so now I'm gonna feel like a fool patching the old hole and cutting another for this shifter, but based off my measurements it should sit right where the normal manual shifters would sit. Good video dude, cuz besides your video on it, there is no information on them honestly.

Is the core shifter for the nv3500 compatible with the mid shift conversion? That would be sweet

I wonder how my s10 will run with an ls4.8 with the nv3500. With a stage 2 clutch. And this is my 1st ever swap 😂 soon to be on the road
@Ls_swap2112 ай бұрын
I like you started with pushing a nv3500 in my s10 and I’m tired of the 2-3 shifts being successful 3-10 times but it was $300 like new so can’t hold a grudge against it lol I recently bought a used t56 and did the sst mid shift kit like you did and I’ve yet to get to install it I would think if the nv3500 held up somewhat in your truck rated at 300hp then a stock t56 would have did the job great or at least that’s what I’m doing myself lol Did the t56 shift good and stuff and was they a huge difference vs the nv3500 ? I’m trying to limit my expectations 😆
@Ls_swap2112 ай бұрын
I recently did this same kit It all went good but it still feels like it’s not hitting solid in the forward shifts When I pull it back I hear a bang like it’s fully bottomed out and the gear change feels good but when I go in forward gears it feels soft almost like it needs to go another 1/16” or something I’m gonna install it next weekend but I’d like to know if there is a problem staying in gear or anything before hand Here’s my install video Thanks for showing yours it helped me along the way kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6WwXndnbdB7hbMsi=emPByQD_0RPUd1W8

So cammed 6L tubo. Will say the motor makes 400 horsepower and after 15 lb of boost you're probably at 800 horsepower at the flywheel.

I have a Euro spec 82 BMW 635csi that has a Getrag 265 5 speed in as it came. Being a v8 person, the inline 6 is not an option! I'm putting a built 4.8 LR4 in it. I'm contemplating using the NV3500 as they are readily available. My question is,. What are the dimensions of the NV3500 vs the Getrag 265?

How much hp did it handle? I’m looking to do about 430hp
@robertmontalvo5972 ай бұрын
I'd say the 6 l at least making 400 horsepower before the turbo and maybe between 700 to 800 after 15 lb of boost

Hey watched your videos on the Nv3500 testing and I've decided thats the transmission I'll be running in my camaro. I'm planning to run the older style with the external slave cylinder if possible could you please post the part numbers for the clutch pressure plate and flywheel you used.
@Gappleton5 ай бұрын
For sure! The clutch is a 1993 c1500 clutch max pro stage 5. The flywheel is a 1998 Silverado 4.8 v8 manual flywheel, and a same goes for the throw out bearing. Sachs 1050 flywheel and ct1082 pilot bearing. Stock c1500 throw out
